I really like your build and I`m during building passenger plane as well and I`ve met similar problems so I thought we could figure out something

It seems (2 tests in a row) that at the higher speeds (~70-80m/s) during the landing the front wheels and pistons are not resistance enough to stress (speed + touchdown forces) and weird things happen
