Does exactly what it says, and it's really fun.
20 imperial units is enough for a single strong assault on a high tier space station, but 40 allows you to have your main attack force, ships laid out to prevent flanking, and have some in reserve.

well, that does make some sense, the consortium is a bit OP, but I dont see why the consortium gets 50 when it should get 40 and the empire 50

I kept the initial cap and applied *2. Although in my opinion, Consortium is a bit OP, it's alike original balancing.

Changing lines in the XML game files are the very main way to mod this game (aside graphics).

That being said, this on the Steam Workshop gives you the freedom to use it one day, or not without altering your files (its a copy). It also work in multiplayer because it is quite popular.

If everyone does it differently, nothing will work great.

I believe what another mod (Battlefront Commander) did was haave it where you automatically start at 20, rather than needing to capture points for it. But you could just make a seperate mod that does both land and space and leave this one as is.

I understand, but *2 effect is not that easy on land fights (because of checkpoints and such). I may find a quick solution when I have time but as of now, only Infinite Unit Cap mod affects land battles.

I would definitely like a land unit cap increase, from 10 to either 15 or 20.

SimonS I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by 'stolen idea'. If you mean the idea of a mod that increases the umit capacity then I hate to tell you that this has been around since the very first RTSes, I mean it's not really an incredible inovation, a welcome one but pretty logical. If I've misunderstood and you're referring to something more specific then I apologies and just ignore this post.
