to make a mod you need

l4d2 Authoring Tools you can get in steam if you scroll under library tools you well see it

rename the folder to what you like
Use the Gcfscape tool and extract the texture you want to replace
open vftedit and open the texture you want then click file then export save as png file
after that open vftedit import the png and overwite the texture
put it in your mod folder
aslo open the Addon Info.txt and rename some of the stuff
then drag the folder to the left 4 dead 2 bin folder and find vpk
then when you find vpk darg the folder on top of vpk then
the folder turns into a vpk file
Now use L4d2 Authoring tool thing and this well make it a workshop addon
