and when i see in game i have no chicken nator

Thats embarrassing. I did that and forgot to remove my comment. The mod works great. I'm just used to manually installing the mod.

Click the large green subscribe button. Steam should download the file archive straight away.
Run Killing Floor and wait on the main menu, the item's name should appear in the top right.
If it is a percentage, then it is extracting the archive, if it's just the name then it has already finished extracting.
Close Killing Floor.
Reopen Killing Floor, it should now be installed.

Alternatively you can install with the mediafire mirror by extracting and installing the files manually to steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\
However if you do this, you will have to reinstall each Killing Floor update, or use a mod handling program such as JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler like I use.

I've added a download to the ServerPerks version in the desc.
If anyone would like to try it and report back if it's working, that would be great, as I'm still not a user of SP myself.

That's right, just replace the files where appropriate. If you want to keep the skin through future updates then I would recommend using JSGME for handling modifications.
Otherwise it will automatically uninstall if the game updates. Alternatively, you can keep the install files and drag them back in after any updates.

To uninstall, just verify integrity of game cache through steam. http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

@Zedilian: Originally the entire character was white. Then I looked at some photos of chickens and thought, 'heh maybe the feet and beak should remain orange', so I made that change end enjoyed the result.

The way I see it, a quarter of users don't even know where their Killing Floor folder is located. I'm happy with the way it's operating. If I get any complaints, I'll consider what you've said more seriously.

I figure it's a trade-off between ease of installation and possible mix ups in the future.
My stance: easy install, might stuff up when they try to install another skin when still subscribed. The MediaFire mirror is there for .zip installs.

I personally run all my KF custom content through JSGME (JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler) so I can keep it all separate and revert to stock KF at any time.

No other ChickenNator skins to my knowledge and I've put up uninstallation instructions, close enough.

You need to buy the Chickenator before applying the Chickey Cantor Skin to it.

Surge, no. It replaces your existing ChickenNator skin, if you haven't bought ChickenNator dlc and you subscribe, all you'll get is a slightly modified locked portrait.

Hotax is right also, even if you cheated the system to get the character to replace another (which is entirely possible but you didn't hear it from me) then it would still only be ChickenNator for you and you would be the original char to everyone else.

Isn't this basically circumventing the pay-to-get thing for the chickenator? You're making it free pretty much. Unless I am wrong...
