this mod works well mainly when you want to relax and have fun with the game, buying and unlocking very expansive and sophisticated tech builds and factories, getting all of them like a madman every turn! hehe :evangelo_surprised:

I just realized that there are cheats built-in in the UCP including a money cheat.

@lynodie The only player-unique thing that also includes the stock races I think is the starting ships. If you gave the player a ship with a ship module with a very high scrap value, it could be used for a one-time money cheat. This can be given in GameStartPoints.

You misunderstood me, i don't want that the AI benefits from the cheat, i want to use the cheat building in a normal game, not just a custom one. But of course this could only work if there is something that is unique to the player, something that the AI doesn't have to make sure that only the human player can actually build that building.

@lynodie To make the AI benefit from it, it would be easier to raise the amount of starting BC for all players rather than going through this method. The reason this is a custom race perk that unlocks a building you have to build is so that the AI cannot benefit from it. You can modify the starting BC in Globals.yaml

I wonder if it would be possible to edit the civilizations in the game so that they all have this perk. This way you could use this cheat even in a normal game.

@c.diegocespedes1234 you have to start a new game with a custom race and choose the MoOla perk.

There's cheating and then there's the game equivalent of stomping on kittens.

I was hoping to catch the interest of someone who know how to write mods and has a more mature approach to providing a bit extra boost.

Some people just don't get the idea that this is a cheating mod for cheaters, and that unlimited money is the point. No such thing as too much money when you're cheating to get money. I want to buy 99 doomstars on turn 2 or whatever with this and the Einstein mod. Doesn't work if I nerf the amount. Of course you can always scrap the building if your reserves are uncomfortably large.

This is ridiculous overkill. If you want an extra money generator, how about a mod that gives these at some low tech levels:

Casino: yields two extra BC per turn per population unit
Resort: yields extra BC per turn between 5 and 25, randomly, plus one per population unit
Carnival: yields one extra BC per turn per population unit

Tie the Carnival to Engineering, the Casino to Electronics, and the Resort to Private Funding.

Making exploration more interesting, add a module for a ship -- call it Treasure Hunter or something -- so every new planet you find & visit gives 10 BC plus 5 BC per ship size above Destroyer.

Or how about a building tied to Biotechnology, call it "Golden Garden", like a giant greenhouse with plants that pull precious metals from the soil for an extra 2 BC per turn?

If other things can be tweaked, have a new option for captured spies: like Deporting them, only Ransom; you send them back and get 2000 BC.

Could you make a version that has fewer BC per turn? One that give 1000 BC per turn would be nice. Gives you extra BC per turn, but is not over powered.

The building requires the capitol structure. That's how it restricts to your homeworld. It makes sense that a capitol-replacing mod would break that.

Ok the problem was it does not work with MeVII - Xtra Powerful Capitols I started backing out mods one at a time this was the one.

So, I have started several game I pick the perk and I do not see a building. is there something else I need to do pre-req mods ? I have all the normal ones usually needed. but yea 3 restarts and not seeing anything hoping its a tech I need to research or something

A bit overpowered but when you want to just screw around and never ever have to worry about money or politics this is the ticket. It is nice to drop 10 or 20,000 credits on a race to vastly improve their attitude towards you. Blow up a planet here is some money for your trouble. lol

I had the same problem. Could select the option in my startup but wouldn't appear in game. Hadn't played the game in a few months and was working before. Deleting my games did not help. I had to manually update the UCP mod. Deselect all mods, restart. Turn on UCP, restart. Turn on 5x, exit to menu, turn on 5x UCP compatability, restart game. Finally turn on Moola and it worked when I started a new game.

Yes, I had. I wasn't sure what was happening, however I re-logged all the way out of the game after deleting all my old saved games, and when I logged back in, this time it worked. Even though I had started a new game and chose the custom race perk, no matter how many times I logged out or in, once I cleared all the old saved games, that was when it worked. Thank you for replying so quickly though, but so far it seems to be working now. =)

Building is not available. I even tried starting over after restarting the game, says the mod is active but nothing so far.

It works as advertised and helped a lot during start. It adds to much money for me, that amount every turn. I scrapped it after the first two deposits by you can always build it as needed. Thanks for sharing, I like your choice of the visuals, cool building paste.

I could change the starting money, but it would change the starting amount for all players including the AI opponents. This is the only way to make it so that only the player gets the money.

I suggest you install the unofficial code patch. It expands the space on the custom race screen. It also fixes tons of bugs and makes AI and UI improvements.

Cool mod, in custom race selection the perk choices are useable but slided over a bit when used with 5x. However 'solution" like with 5x balance mod ,RPG-like Tech-tree,MoOla(do good at cost of not seeing advisor recommands in tech tree(economic,science,ect). Solution dose remove MoOla sided over perk choices in custom race selection, The perk some tech choices are removed by RPG-like Tech-tree. but still good. Don't know if moving MoOla mod at differ position in mod screen list would help(after 5x or at bottom below any perk mods.:Diplomat:

Might even need to beef them up some. I've used the bio weapons and besides only targeting population they're pretty weak including the bio terminator. Would be a fun mod. Usually in the tech tree you always avoid them and take population growth since it's negative influence, high size then regular bombs, and the other option (excluding modded tech trees) is population growth across the empire which is way more valuable. Not to mention as a trade/offer it has 0 impact. Be nice to have a way to use them in game without declaring galaxy wide war. One of my favorite things about the classic orion game was the darloks were notorious for using them and silicoids had some resistance to em. Be great if u could actually make it work.

"Biological Warfare" - Computer will not detest the use of weapons of mass destruction and will even use them themselves. (death spores, bio terminator, stellar converter)

It's worked well for me. I like using it on massive games in extreme difficulty giving myself 1 round of bonus money and then i sell the cheat. (you dont have to keep it on. sell it)
