i noticed something in the discussions area regarding it
it could be carried over from the usual Tuesday maintenance
like a lil peek behind the curtain to see the development process
At the time of the port, they may have been previously known as "Lee" or "Brian"
Regardless of the creation time of the re-upload, ours was still the real version
The other version, knowing the history and reputation of the user, is questionable
Most likely has unnecessary changes, including to the events including the finale
It does not remain faithful to the original from Turtle Rock Studios
Out of respect for Turtle Rock Studios, ours was simply made L4D2 compatible
Be further advised, the reuploader attempted infringement towards us
Infringement against us Akira, and Atomic
Reuploader took the Remastered item, and Complete's screenshots
They had also modified the finale
Multiple infringement had occurred
It's always best to do research and support original creators
Especially when certain users already have a track record behind them
Finale already worked
We don't have any unnecessary tampering
This version is 100% pure and legit
Unlike a certain other plagiarized theft
I make these statements due to an unnecessary edit being re-uploaded
Someone attempted to question them but I don't expect honesty or transparency
Regardless, no denying by upload date on my item what the real truth is
Created by Turtle Rock Studios, original developers of Left 4 Dead
Myself, "AkiraTea" and "RomanMV" (currently "AtomicCat404") did original work
As far as originality, and support and respect for original developers and their work...
It must be reminded and stated: this was the very first proper fix and port of Dam It
We kept Turtle Rock Studios vision completely intact
Only changed and fixed what's necessary for Left 4 Dead 2 compatibility
This version remains the first real port as well as having actual fixes
No major changes out of respect and support for Turtle Rock Studios
Some of us actually know the story and what it took for us to have this campaign
"Complete" and "Remastered" edits are exactly as their names imply
Remastered and Complete offer more polished and completed finales
However, as stated by at least one of them, our version inspired them
"Buried by the Flood" was officially finished by my team and Complete/Remastered
Very unfortunate to see plagiarism and theft with broken stolen versions
It ties to Blood harvest through the Dams location (Allegheny National Forest, which is where Blood Harvest starts from), and while unfortunately the escape vehicle was never finished as the campaign was scrapped, it would likely be visibly wrecked at the start of Blood Harvest just like the other failed escape vehicles. (My personal theory is that it was gonna be a Truck&Camper similar to the one of TF2 fame)
Mostly they were bought out by Valve.
Then later did their own thing.
Evolve and Back 4 Blood.
it was simply a direct straight port of Turtle Rock Studios original work.
if you want something 'complete" then get the "complete" or "remastered" versions.
While I can see the tie-in with beginning where Dead Air left off, I didn't recognize how the map tied into Blood Harvest. Map 2 ends in the farmhouse, but how does the dam fit? My grasp of the lore isn't strong, but I just didn't see the connection.
Did encounter two glitches, both on map 3/3 (rescue).
In the first elevator you take, all three bots refused to get inside. I was finally able to shove each inside, one by one after a bit of trial and error. Once in, the elevator button worked as needed.
I also found the final escape (which was fun, btw) to be bugged on my run through. Activated the second panel, was told to make my escape and did so by running to a generic-looking spot where I thought the helicopter (?) should be. Didn't see one. Yet once the final bot reached me the ending credits began so I must have been in the correct location.

Didn't even see any shenanigans on Huck/Herbius version on Game Maps either.
I figured the more we can show "support" the better and faster this gets resolved.
probably should wait on updating it until that BS notice is removed if it'd even let me update it.
actually, if you've been in the mood for older projects, Crescendo Collision still needs love.
I'll let you know if/when I hear back from "support".
Although I think I gave them all the information they'd need... in words anyway.
Only other idea I had was having you take a screenshot of the map source files showing dates.
If I remember correctly, you can attach images to your support messages.
just letting you know in case we see it here we'll have to file a DMCA.
remember, Jake said all he did was swap the survivor set.
all that is is just a line in a text file.
the maps themselves were not modified... yet.
I just stand by what I said, it didn't really seem logical.
besides, I would have had to ask Jake anyway so I'm glad he was around the time.
we all got lucky Jake happened to be around and had the time to fulfill your request.
