@Autocrator that would appear to be due to them having the same country tag. I didn't even know that country existed, I'll fix it today if I get around to it.

Just downloaded this mod. Barus and Belarus have the same tag which makes Barus have the Belorussian flag and culture.

It just means you need that requirement for the decision to appear. The decision itself has the additional requirements to form it.

@hjkryan Honestly, no idea. It shouldn't be too hard to just enable in the next patch but I'll have to check if there anything that will simply break. My original plan, if I remember correctly, was to make a new subject type which represented a member state of EU and then have the overlord rotate or change after certain time or through a trigger.

This has been now updated and since I apparently had decided to rework whole settings thing, that has now been done. You can disable / enable every country separately. Removed a few of those useless and empty nations that did nothing and might add them back later.

@Qui-Gon Jinn I would recommend against using this with ET since that mod is basically a full overhaul with new tags and what not. You might see some weird behavior or wrong countries if you play with both on.

@Comrade Hirocheeto Yea they probably should be enabled back. Me and my friends usually played with those nations disabled which is why it didn't see that much "play testing". I had a plan at one point to limit the formation of Soviet Union to Revolutionary Russia but maybe I could do different requirements for the AI and for players. Tldr. They will be brought back when I work on this mod again, currently sucked into the Baldur's Gate 3 wormhole. :wizard:

Will the disabled nations like the Soviet Union, Neo-Ottomans, and EU ever be re-introduced/updated? In my opinion they were the most fun as end-of-campaign goals.

Updated to 1.36! Really didn't have to do much which is why I added a new nation with this patch and changed a couple of flags that really didn't make any sense since they were based on the current flags of cities/mayors or they were just plain ugly. :lunar2019piginablanket:

For anyone interested; had a quick glance at the 1.36 patch notes. There shouldn't be anything that breaks, might have to update some files that I have had to overwrite but other than that nothing. I originally through they had added Iran or something but I guess they didn't? If you find any bugs or problems, inform me and I'll see if I can fix them. Will be playing EU with friends so I was thinking of adding a few nations such as the North German Confederation as a precursor formable / renaming of Prussia before you form Germany.

@Shotty Man Noticed the post in the country suggestions, a solid country I'll add to the list once I work on new countries. To answer to your question whether this mod is still updated, yes it is but only when I either play the game with buddies or just have a moment of inspiration.

Would also be cool if it had some sort of custom government reform like Prussian monarchy, but for Catholics instead of protestants and gives trade/diplomacy buffs instead of military buffs

So the mod is now updated and I changed the way the AI forms the countries added by this mod since as I mentioned below, they set provinces required by active decisions as a priority. Now they only see the decision if they fill all of its requirements.

I would like to inform any who would be interested in this mod that there is a high chance that this mod will get an update after the next update drops as what I have seen, it looks very interesting! Since they are once again changing parts of the government mechanics some stuff will break but that can be fixed with enough work I guess. The next major problem is how the devs decided to make the AI consider formable nations; they now set every required province as high importance. As you might guess, this causes problems with nations such as the Frankish Empire which can be formed by many European nations who now all have set the lands required to form it as high importance.... If you enjoy a difficult experience, I recommend starting as Aachen :WH3_greasus_rofl:

great mod but unfortunatley due to the last update the AI will now want every province necessary to form nations so you'll essentially have half the HRE setting paris as essential, or nations wanting constantinople to form the roman empire

Updated to the current version, I had to remove my version of the Kalmar union and revert all my changes to the Kalmar union. I haven't had the chance to try out the newest patch so inform me if you notice any bugs or any missing features that my mod still overwrites.

Just references some similar EU/HRE systems in other mods: As far as I know, Code Geass mod is using diplomacy actions smartly to simulate an EU while Maid Universalis (a weird mod) is using a extreme complex decision system and event trees to create another HRE system.

In addition, Common Universalis used form EU as an end-game achievement. It required player using a revolutionary state and spread revolution to every european nations. The form EU decision can integrate all revolution states.

Creating EU system is one of most challenge modification in my point of view.

@fgf1011 That was actually the idea what I had in mind when I first wanted to add the EU. Originally I wanted to see if I could use the HRE itself to create the EU system but unfortunately it appears that I would need to remove the HRE to do that so I guess using decisions is the way to go.

the european union is an interesting idea if there is a HRE-like reform system by decision or diplomacy options. (ie: EU may unlock some unique subject types and able to convert a european country to from tributary-like subject to vassal-like subject step by step.)

The finished list of nations can be found in the discussions. It shows what it takes to have the specific decision to form a nation become visible (not available!).

Finally updated this mod officially to the newest version, not that it really required it. I also fixed multiple bugs and problems commented before and upgraded a couple of nations such as Sparta!. You can find the full list of changes in the "Change Notes" section.

This updated also increased compatibility with other mods due me fixing my multiple useless additions and mistakes. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Please remove Carthage as a releasable before it's been properly formed. I had a run scuttled when the AI released Carthage from Tunis in like 1470 and the option to form it was then removed.

I think Slovene and Bosnian culture should also be able to form Yugoslavia. Religious requirement should be removed since Yugoslavia was a secular kingdom. Albanian (but not the other South Slavs) should form Illyria.
