Looking it up you're supposed to create the Ambrosia Palms by using Awakened Nectar Makers which are made from three Nectar Makers. Considering the Ambrosia Palm comes from this mod and it already has a method to acquire them. I think making them plantable normally would ruin the point of the Awaken Nectar Makers.
I imagine its from a Vanilla mod because I recall seeing them before but I don't remember which one. If you use the What's That Mod it'll add a tag in descriptions that tell you what mod an item is from.
Ambrosia Palms aren't vanilla. You'll have to tell me what mod they come from so I can fix it.
It should work perfectly fine. Each version is under its own folder. I haven't made any changes to the 1.4 files since the 1.5 update and thus far nobody has reported issues. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing or verifying your game files. If you used Rimpy's strip mods option there's a high chance it's deleted some necessary mod files.
I'm glad you like it. It's good to know the time I spent on it wasn't wasted.
While I don't tend to pay attention to my plants I've never noticed an issue like that before. Also these plants themselves are the vanilla plants simply with a tag to allow them to be planted. Beyond the obvious, work priorities, area restrictions, zone settings, I can't think of anything that would cause such a issue.
Thanks
Not without having the mod rely on something like XML Extensions. If you want to change the growing skill required you can just open the file in notepad and change it for your copy.
It's called Ambrosia and its in the vanilla research window with all the tribal era stuff.
That is very weird. This is a simple patch mod so I have to wonder what another mod is doing to break it. I'm afraid there isn't anything I can do other than suggest you try to figure out what mod is conflicting.
None of those three mods touch ambrosia in any way so it must be something else. Try loading the mod further down in your list and that should fix the issue.
Looking at your list I actually can't see anything that should cause the issue. None of them should touch ambrosia in any way. Since its working with loading it further down it's not an issue but its strange nonetheless.

I personally use the Vanilla plants mods so there shouldn't be an incompatibility with them. Maybe some other mod is overwriting it? Try moving the mod all the way down in your mod list.
Personally I use this one. There's a couple similar ones but I've found this one has the least issues.

I placed the research in the Vanilla research tree amongst other stuff. If you have a lot of mods and no reaearch tree mod then it's possible its gotten wedged under another research project button. If you have dev mode on you can shift research projects around in the research tree a bit.
Looking at the mod description that's mentioned in the compatibility section. Any modded crop that doesn't get removed is likely going to be an issue. This mod is already fairly overpowered alone I'm not surprised if its downright game breaking when paired with the various farming mods.
basically infinite ambrosia when planted in the modded hydroponics.
That typically happens when the plant reaches the end of its lifespan. For crops that do not get removed when they are harvested such as ambrosia, tomatoes (VEP) or vanilla berry bushes they eventually die.
Implementing it in the game properly would likely require coding which is something I can't do. It is also not something I'd be interested in doing, sorry to say.
To be honest this has been bugging me for a while. The high tech requirement is an arbitrary requirement for the sake of making it hard to obtain. Due to the high requirements and research cost I always ignore it in favour of more important research.
The reality is ambrosia is a naturally spawning plant that should be easy to cultivate given how it randomly springs up (even in the desert) and how it isn't too picky about what soil it has. If someone wants to abuse ambrosia farming they'll do it with or without a high research/skill requirement.
Anyway my point is I changed the research requirements to tribal with no prerequisites. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure the mod updates.
