Looking it up you're supposed to create the Ambrosia Palms by using Awakened Nectar Makers which are made from three Nectar Makers. Considering the Ambrosia Palm comes from this mod and it already has a method to acquire them. I think making them plantable normally would ruin the point of the Awaken Nectar Makers.
@FrozenSnowFox Thanks, i found it, its Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Dryads

I imagine its from a Vanilla mod because I recall seeing them before but I don't remember which one. If you use the What's That Mod it'll add a tag in descriptions that tell you what mod an item is from.
@frozensnow fox i genuinely have no idea, i thought they were vanilla and i cant find anyone talking about them online :aurip:

Ambrosia Palms aren't vanilla. You'll have to tell me what mod they come from so I can fix it.
1.5 you cant grow ambrosia palms, i got both Ambrosia sowing and tree sowing researched, no option for palms
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 27 Aug, 2024 @ 5:30pm
@3-Главый Буравчик
It should work perfectly fine. Each version is under its own folder. I haven't made any changes to the 1.4 files since the 1.5 update and thus far nobody has reported issues. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing or verifying your game files. If you used Rimpy's strip mods option there's a high chance it's deleted some necessary mod files.
3-Главый Буравчик 27 Aug, 2024 @ 5:09pm
1.4 dont work
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 1 May, 2024 @ 5:37am
@T_GabiUel
I'm glad you like it. It's good to know the time I spent on it wasn't wasted.
T_GabiUel 1 May, 2024 @ 5:33am
The mod image is really funny lol. Thank you for the mod, you never disappoint Fox.
DarkTemplarlord 14 Apr, 2024 @ 11:54pm
thx for update
Demognomicon 9 Apr, 2023 @ 10:22pm
@FrozenSnowFox Looks like I complained too soon. I thought the plants were fully grown but they were not. Once grown they were eventually harvested. My apologies.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 9 Apr, 2023 @ 9:31pm
@g0ldheart_rr
While I don't tend to pay attention to my plants I've never noticed an issue like that before. Also these plants themselves are the vanilla plants simply with a tag to allow them to be planted. Beyond the obvious, work priorities, area restrictions, zone settings, I can't think of anything that would cause such a issue.
Demognomicon 9 Apr, 2023 @ 9:27pm
So I have noticed that while everything else gets harvested, these plants almost never do even when set to highest priority. Any ideas? They do plant and grow just fine.
LaBonez 14 Jan, 2023 @ 11:43am
@FrozenSnowFox
Thanks
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 13 Jan, 2023 @ 11:57am
@LaBonez
Not without having the mod rely on something like XML Extensions. If you want to change the growing skill required you can just open the file in notepad and change it for your copy.
LaBonez 13 Jan, 2023 @ 11:19am
Can you make the growing skill configurable? I want to try and raise it for my playthrough.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 4 Dec, 2022 @ 12:01pm
@EaterOfPlywood
It's called Ambrosia and its in the vanilla research window with all the tribal era stuff.
EaterOfPlywood 4 Dec, 2022 @ 9:21am
What is the research called, where is it?
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 10 Nov, 2022 @ 12:45pm
@Contorta
That is very weird. This is a simple patch mod so I have to wonder what another mod is doing to break it. I'm afraid there isn't anything I can do other than suggest you try to figure out what mod is conflicting.
walkin_here 10 Nov, 2022 @ 6:51am
Moved to the bottom of my modlist, and still no luck. Have other modded plants showing up, just no ambrosia.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 9 Nov, 2022 @ 1:09pm
@Contorta
None of those three mods touch ambrosia in any way so it must be something else. Try loading the mod further down in your list and that should fix the issue.
walkin_here 9 Nov, 2022 @ 1:02pm
Same issue as Curt, with Ambrosia missing from my growing menu. From what i can see in his modlist, we share VFE Spacer, Indoor Tree Farms, and VFE Farming in common. Don't see any error in my player.log relating to this mod.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 6 Oct, 2022 @ 6:35pm
@CurtimusPrime
Looking at your list I actually can't see anything that should cause the issue. None of them should touch ambrosia in any way. Since its working with loading it further down it's not an issue but its strange nonetheless.
CurtimusPrime92 6 Oct, 2022 @ 6:27pm
fixed in my load order see this screenshot can you tell me which mod it's incompatible with?
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2872155011
CurtimusPrime92 6 Oct, 2022 @ 6:06pm
that fixed it idk what the problem was i use RimPy to manage my mods so [fsf] growable ambrosia was pretty near the bottom of my load order anyways ~10-15 mods from the bottom on my 300+ mod load order lol
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 6 Oct, 2022 @ 5:21pm
@CurtimusPrime
I personally use the Vanilla plants mods so there shouldn't be an incompatibility with them. Maybe some other mod is overwriting it? Try moving the mod all the way down in your mod list.
CurtimusPrime92 6 Oct, 2022 @ 5:19pm
i have ambrosia reasearched but it doesn't appear in the menu for grow zone
CurtimusPrime92 6 Oct, 2022 @ 5:18pm
i cant seem to find ambrosia bush in grow zone menu? playing v1.3 WITH all 3 Vanilla Plants Expanded mods ...incompatibility?
Cranky Corgi 13 Jul, 2022 @ 8:24pm
@FrozenSnowFox ty, will try and see if that fixes it <3
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 13 Jul, 2022 @ 8:10pm
@McNutty
Personally I use this one. There's a couple similar ones but I've found this one has the least issues.

@jimfoxbug, what research mod did you get? it used to show up for me but i got both dlc's and now they wont show
jimfoxbug 9 Feb, 2022 @ 7:41pm
@FozenSnowFox I got the ideoligy dlc right after posting the comment, and got a research mod and it was fixed :steamhappy:
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 9 Feb, 2022 @ 7:32pm
@jimfoxbug
I placed the research in the Vanilla research tree amongst other stuff. If you have a lot of mods and no reaearch tree mod then it's possible its gotten wedged under another research project button. If you have dev mode on you can shift research projects around in the research tree a bit.
jimfoxbug 9 Feb, 2022 @ 6:54pm
its not showing up in my R tree, any help?
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 23 Oct, 2021 @ 10:16pm
@Yttraeus_Ark
Looking at the mod description that's mentioned in the compatibility section. Any modded crop that doesn't get removed is likely going to be an issue. This mod is already fairly overpowered alone I'm not surprised if its downright game breaking when paired with the various farming mods.
Yttraeus_Ark 23 Oct, 2021 @ 10:12pm
found a glitch with the high density hydroponics mod.
basically infinite ambrosia when planted in the modded hydroponics.
steel.chicken 23 Aug, 2021 @ 5:41pm
Got it - thanks. Appreciate the mod!
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 23 Aug, 2021 @ 4:29pm
@steel.chicken
That typically happens when the plant reaches the end of its lifespan. For crops that do not get removed when they are harvested such as ambrosia, tomatoes (VEP) or vanilla berry bushes they eventually die.
steel.chicken 23 Aug, 2021 @ 4:26pm
Weird bug where it rots and goes bad before it even reaches 100% growth...strange!
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 4 Aug, 2021 @ 3:03pm
@Maladictus
Implementing it in the game properly would likely require coding which is something I can't do. It is also not something I'd be interested in doing, sorry to say.
Johnny Silverhand 4 Aug, 2021 @ 7:37am
yes v
Taelim 1 Jul, 2021 @ 1:43am
You could make it so ambrosia requires the soil to have certain psychic properties that randomly appear (thus why ambrosia randomly appears). Humans cannot recreate it, but archotechs can, and with the help of a certain archotech artifact, you can too. Thus, ambrosia is hard to grow AND it makes sense why it's hard to grow.
FrozenSnowFox  [author] 28 Feb, 2021 @ 8:11pm
@valdindor
To be honest this has been bugging me for a while. The high tech requirement is an arbitrary requirement for the sake of making it hard to obtain. Due to the high requirements and research cost I always ignore it in favour of more important research.

The reality is ambrosia is a naturally spawning plant that should be easy to cultivate given how it randomly springs up (even in the desert) and how it isn't too picky about what soil it has. If someone wants to abuse ambrosia farming they'll do it with or without a high research/skill requirement.

Anyway my point is I changed the research requirements to tribal with no prerequisites. Unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure the mod updates.
valdindor 28 Feb, 2021 @ 7:31pm
im playing a medieval play through and want to grow ambrosia. is there a way to get the tech if the high techs are disabled? Or is this only if you have full tech?
OldFirehand 9 Dec, 2020 @ 7:01pm
Guys just create a local copy and change the xml values if you want balancing/tweaking... it's not that hard :steambored:
Ghaz-ranka 22 Oct, 2020 @ 12:39pm
I agree it should at least require 15 growing if not 20 growing. This is the most rare crop and it should be treated as such.
Vaeringjar 30 Sep, 2020 @ 12:04pm
this needs a bit of balancing. Higher skill required & much longer sowing time
