@Ozzy Sure, aslong as you credit me somewhere it is fine to use it for your campaign. ^^

Third jump is impossible because cats can't wall run.

Much like your last map, I wanted this to be amazing. But yet again, It was very poorly made.

The map makes no sense, And it feels like stealth is forced in to make it take longer to beat.
Along with my fps dropping to 5-10 in some places, (Which may be because I downgraded to windows 10) It just felt janky and horrible to play.

At least there's checkpoints. Sadly they're not in any useful areas.

BTW I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6-Core and an AMD Radeon RX 5500

Hey Crochwisle Purple, I am indeed alive, though I haven't played/created stuff for overgrowth in ages. Thanks for the feedback though!

You do make a good point that it seems a bit illogical that the cat is purposely going towards enemies. The idea (I believe it's been a while) was that the city was overtaken by enemies and you pretty much gotta stealth and flee your way through it. The first enemies you encounter are more like people you're supposed to avoid by using the walls to break line of sight and roll between them than to actively engage fighting with them.

Originally the cat was going to behave like a bunny mechanics wise, but I couldn't get the scripting to work at the time of the jam. Thanks for your playthrough though!

sup, are you alive? i was gonna write that this mod didnt work in 2019 but i kinda forgot so imma try to make it work this time and will send some feedback your way
Crochwhisle purple 20 Aug, 2021 @ 3:49am
all i can say is that jer9 doesn`t understand what a cat can do, and what the player will do: in the start of the level the camera looks at the end of the map, so the player thinks "so, i need to get there? ok... well to my left i see enemies and they have armor so maybe i don`t want to go there", and the player goes to the end by jumping on houses and such. Aaaaand that breaks the entire script. What you really need to do is to jump straight into the enemies, after that you need to do a slippery wall-run that was designed for a fat rabbit and not for a not-as-agile-cat, then you need to do a jump where you barely can`t reach it. now this is a little interesting: jer makes the player climb on the edge of that surface, which is a rarely used mechanic in this game, so i will add points for that.

Climbed up, and annoyed at this cat you see a rabbit, who you swiftly sparta-kick onto the boards below. Now from around the corner 3 armored rabbits appear, from who you must run away. And after all that you get to the temple thingy where you run from 4 smol rabbits and 1 armored rabbit. And here is the person you came to talk to: mickey mou... i mean fer or something like that who tells you "yo im dyin, and if you don`t want to join me jump off this tiny dam". Rabbits appear, they make a villain style conversation with you and then beat the shit out of you and you die :the end:

Thanks for the feedback! What was the worst part of it? :3

There was supposed to be a sequel, but uhh, I don't know if I ever finish that one. :(
nael 20 Jun, 2019 @ 6:15am
By far the worst story i've encountered in my entire history of playing games.
Cazzed 4 Mar, 2019 @ 5:50pm
Yeah like a revenge story or something?
Kentucky Fried Communism 20 Jul, 2018 @ 2:52pm
so is here gonna be a sequel?

Hmm, that's odd. I just tried to subscribe to my own map without downloading any other mods and it seems to work fine on my end. Any error messages you receive? Have you tried to disable your other mods, if you have those? Note that the (Full) version is basically the map with everything loaded in, while the campaign seperates the map in different parts and starts at The Tower. If Full doesn't work well, you can try the map by starting at The Tower.

I have yet to be able to get this Map to work. Half the time things won't load in, other times, event don't trigger. Not sure if bugged, or I'm doing something wrong. I have redownloaded twice.

Thank you for the compliments, Pjs!

Thank you, Zed!
Zed 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:26am
Fantastic. I liked the overall look of the map, very nice.

I have to say though, I didn't see much of a difference in the fps between the full level and the campaign. And repeating the same level was a bit of a pain. (That said I still loved this map.)
Zed 1 Apr, 2018 @ 12:13am
Sick! A new map jam level.

How is that town called from the hobbit that got burned? Id like to see something like that

Thanks!

So, besides the fact this map causes me some major FPS drops (although that could be just my computer) I really liked this map. The map felt cool to play through, there are multiple paths, and the story was okay (even though it was sort of non existent for most of this level). This was a really cool level!

Thank you (all)! I'm aware of the performance issues and trying to slice up the map into individual levels, so more people will be able to play it. :) I hope that solves the heavy frame drops for people.
blueq 28 Mar, 2018 @ 9:18pm
This map was very good in sense of detail. I like the way the story was told too. I did get some lag at random times though. Overall it's a cool map.
Komegatze 27 Mar, 2018 @ 2:44pm
dangit I would love to play your level but its too good for my computer, it looks beautiful ill give you that
edo 27 Mar, 2018 @ 2:32pm
Cool to see you joined the jam. This map and the story are very cool, I like it.
