I'm not getting any of the extra tabs at the top but definitely getting the modifier-based data. But no Historic moments, no great people point

@dbairdt The image is correct and all is displayed properly. These entries are all modifier-based. There is no "friendly" description in the game.

Using the image I posted below, can you clarify that the civ entry is indeed displayed as you wish? I think that would clear up a lot of these questions here. Thanks! We all love your mods, they are must haves, and we really appreciate your work.

I think what hes trying to say is that some entries read like this in the overview section:

Project_Completion_JNR_Sat_Weather_Farm_Food

Instead of something more user friendly such as

+1(food) after researching Machinery

I was curious about the same issue and wasn't sure if the mod was working correctly. It can look kinda confusing and I understand why people think that the values under "Overview" and "Modifiers" look like they are not displaying properly.

@Noire BRS is needed to actually show the modifiers. The modifiers are very technical, and yes this is very readable for e.g. modders or if you want to invest more time in understanding them. If not, then simply turn them off to avoid confusion.

Hi, I don't quite understand how modifier description works. Does installing better report screen make the codes turn into something more readable? I installed that but the modifiers are still just bare codes

@wallfllwr I am not sure about XML code, but I assume other are talking about modifier details. Like in a tooltip, it shows a bunch of case letter names. Could be confusing for non-tech people. But anyway, this is actually one of the most important features of the mod, so one can see how actually something works and is designed. Sometimes descriptions are lacking, very often details are omitted.
Anyway, it can be turned off if someone doesn't like it.

I'm not sure what the others are talking about... This mod works perfectly fine in my game and I have a LOT of mods in my game as well, maybe you guys do have a conflict somewhere? In my experience with games that are not Civ, sometimes mods that shouldn't seem to touch something do, and they don't realize it could break another mod, so they don't mention it. Gotta love sims mods, lol.

My point to posting here though was to say THANK YOU to infixo for this mod, I really appreciate it. Really does make it so I don't have to use google as much as I did when I first started playing the game.

Hi Infixo, I have to second what mepoee is saying. When I had this installed the Civiliopedia has the XML code like when you pull up the Civipedia info on improvements and such. Unless you think it's a conflict with another mod but I am not using anything that touches on the civilopedia.

your mod has been translated by Junky into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

@Satoshi the file is located in the steam mod folder, edit BCP_OPTION_MODIFIERS in the BetterCivilopedia_Database.sql file with a text editor like vscode, notepadd++, etc.

Some strange request duo please!

I know this could become a somewhat tedious task.. but would you consider adding the tiny Font-Icons aside (left of bullets) from their "Great Works" strings (Landscape, Portrait, Sculpture, etc) in the descriptive top section of each Great Artists?!?

If not into *this* Mod of yours.. at least within the "Real Great People" coded structure that already dispatch their unique Portraits anyway.

PS; When we try to predict their theming possibilities... the only reasonable/rational ways could also be to reveal them all into the "Previously Recruited" list(s) by appending those that are still "To Be Picked" after the regular records in their own custom HUD slots lacking the normal DATE & CIV-ID columns... for all GP, btw! ;)

The "code" you guys are talking about is intentional. There's a note in the mod's description text telling you how to disable it if you want to: "The modifiers can be switched off via an option in BetterCivilopedia_Database.sql file. In line with BCP_OPTION_MODIFIERS set the number to 0 (zero) to do so."

I've had Wutzup's issue of random crashes when trying to lookup things in the civilopedia. Usually that's when I use the search option for a modded leader/civ/improvement, tho (because I rarely need to check base game ones)

When using this mod I don't get the icons and attribute values but instead what seems to be the markup code for these information (all uppercase placeholder markup text). Anyone else with this issue?

Infixo, looks like you were spot on as always. Update 1.0.1.104 (194095) kicked in today for me which fixed the arrows issue. Just thought reverting this was due. Thank you!

I get error messages sometimes clicking around in the wiki and game crashes;
I got the newest version but no DLC installed;
not sure if it is related to this mod but seems likely.

I love the mod!

Yeah, no previous version (Better Civilopedia and Better Leader Icons) worked. I tried them both with integrity-verified mac GS 1.0.0.341 (176806) and no other mods. Considering these mods were working fine for me until yesterday, the cause has got to be some Firaxis update change. Lua seems to complain about ID leader functions and does not mention nothing about Better Civilopedia (1341630847). Just though of sharing this in case you decide to look into it. Thank you again Infixo for your wonderful mods and support!

@pauloel7 On PC there is a new version. Maybe Mac is behind. Get an old version of the mod from CivFanatics. The new one will not work for sure.

Well, I checked "Properties" and auto-update is on. Weird we have different versions? Maybe it's because mine is a mac version and yours windows? Anyways, I ran the "Verify" several times and the game remains 1.0.0.341 (176806). Then I disabled all mods, enabled only BLI mod, exit, restarted, started a new game, and the bug seems to be the same: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108084712 .
