This mod is brilliant. Skyrim SE version?
BrumeNoire 5 Dec, 2016 @ 2:23pm
Your mod doesn't even get the credit it deserves, pretty sad when you think about it... These birds I noticed the first time I played Skyrim, thanks for the fix, I'm on your side <3

I could try run a search in the CK for instances of that placeholder and see if I can find them, it should be able to locate the things eventually. Thanks for the heads up, and hopefully I can sort those too

This is a screenshot I took the other day of one of them. Maybe it will help, who knows. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/547518911848413672/63C9FC3DEFECE9344544FF47A2D4A58B5D3302D8/

I wish I actually noted it when I ran into them. I ran into one just a few days ago too. Sorry. :(

Never knew of the others haha. Whereabouts on the map are they? It's a simple fix

Great mod idea, however, I've ran into 4 total instances of the parrot bird just chilling in various spots across Skyrim.

Thanks :) Always nice to know that these things are appreciated, even if they're small and relatively insignificant lol.

I've added hundreds of hours to my game since I installed this mod when it first came out and it still makes me happy everytime I go past that darn tree :)

Why is it there in the first place? Just a misplaced marker from when the area was made at Bethsoft I'd imagine. They were meant to be placed under ground level as the actual animation spawns some fifteen feet above it or so, but that one was never sunk to that depth. I got sick of looking at it, hence the fix lol.
Molag Bal 2 Aug, 2013 @ 6:11pm
why is it there
Waffles Jr 22 May, 2013 @ 3:16pm

Ikr before i was always frustrated with these freaky birds. Reminds me of soemthing outta fallout, hmmm.

The parrot itself is actually a marker that the game uses as a spawn point for the bird flock animation, the ones that fly off aren't actually the same I don't think.

As far as I know it shouldn't be a problem using it with birds and flocks, that mod adds in new instances of the same markers, though I haven't seen anything definite on whether or not it changes the same one as I do. If you're worried about a possible conflict I could try get in touch with the author of it and see if he's changed that marker too.

The audio often glitches for a couple days in a new game then stops which could be why you've never heard it, that's an even more immersion breaking problem, you're lucky you've not come across that one! lol.

@Sin: You're welcome
H3X  [author] 1 Apr, 2013 @ 4:54am
@liht: You should see a bird flock instead of the glitch with this mod installed :)
@Waffle-SS Junior: Yes, without this mod that bird in the picture will be in a tree between Riverwood and Whiterun, glitched out.
Sin 1 Apr, 2013 @ 12:38am
Awesome mod, thank you.
Waffles Jr 31 Mar, 2013 @ 9:13pm
hey is the parrot there in the first place without the mod?

liht 31 Mar, 2013 @ 6:05am

Lol it's only a small change but it annoyed me too, I was surprised it never got patched out at any point. No problem anyways :)
The Nega Druid 30 Mar, 2013 @ 10:28pm
Thank you for this. Its deeply appreciated! DIE BIRD! DIE!
The Nega Druid 30 Mar, 2013 @ 10:27pm
Oh about freaking time. I HATED that freaking parrot. One of the most immersion breaking things I ever came across... just BIRD! Bird in tree! ARG!
H3X  [author] 28 Mar, 2013 @ 4:48am
@beautypersoni: I've not heard of one, but that doesn't mean that there isn't - there's a lot of strange and wonderful mods out there lol :)
Chrstphr-J 27 Mar, 2013 @ 10:25pm
Does anyone know of any mods that let you more-or-less climb trees. Especially those lonely old trees out on the plains. Every time I've been attacked by something out there I've wondered why I couldn't climb up one of those trees to safety, and to use my bow. Anyhoo...
Sergon 26 Mar, 2013 @ 2:17pm
I've look too hight in the three but now I've see it XD
Sergon 26 Mar, 2013 @ 2:13pm
ok thanks
H3X  [author] 26 Mar, 2013 @ 2:11pm
Heading from Riverwood to Whiterun, cross the bridge just outside the town. The glitched marker is at the far side of the bridge on the right. This is supposed to fix it so that as you cross the bridge, the flick of birds is startled and flies off over the ridge, like they were supposed to :)
Sergon 26 Mar, 2013 @ 2:08pm
where is it? arround riverwood is not precise XD You have good eyes...
H3X  [author] 26 Mar, 2013 @ 3:49am
SuperWingsy: You're welcome :)
Bonder: It's a marker for a bird flock animation spawn point, Bethesda had it incorrectly placed so I fixed it :)
ChromePlate: I thought it was to do with one of the mods I use at first, but I found out other people were seeing it so my curiosity had to be satisfied on what it actually was and if I could fix it, lol. It was annoying me too.
ChromePlate 26 Mar, 2013 @ 3:20am
Have they not fixed this yet! >_<
Man every game that has been annoying me, and at every char startup i think to myself, they must have patched that, but nope. lol
举头望明月 25 Mar, 2013 @ 1:15pm
Thank you, good sir! (:
H3X  [author] 25 Mar, 2013 @ 12:00pm
Bit of a difference isn't it :)
frogprincess_q4 25 Mar, 2013 @ 11:57am
Most immersive mods ever ;)

Seriously, I am thrilled that you figured this out and made a fix!
