We've had a small update, courtesy of Degranon. Should help make your books more colorful, and aid with copy-pasting.

For a typesetting problem:
I've tried use English and Chinese to edit the text,and I found that if I don't create the new line,it still have a limit word number in a single line--but if I fill the line with words,words will get out of the GUI when reading the book.
Especially if I want to copy a part of words into it.it will change lines automatically if the words reach the limitation,and then words comes out...I don't find differences as I zoom my screen,as far as I know,80 types for a single line is suitable.This way if I copy passages in game,no words will get out.
and i realized that there are some difference between the players who installed the mod and who didn't,their reading GUI seems to be different.I think this problem will also appear in another form if I share it to other players?

Honestly; I am stumped as to how to use this. I end up getting my sentences cut off instead of carried on when I reach the "end" of a line.

Request: A note-style item icon. Like the notes used in the 1.4 for bounty hunts.

Amazing mod! So far most immersive and useful book creation mod available.
However, it's a bit annoying that the lines are cut to the next regardless of cutting a word or separating a coma from where it should be.
Also making available to justify text and making the lines having more space to write.
I hope those changes are viable and arrive in a later version.

@James Sunne all your books are saved as a json item file within your character's inventory that any item editor can read. You can get the text from there and paste it wherever.

Is it possible to export the book into a text file?

For a second I thought this was a mod that would let you add codex entries you find into a book item for easier storage that would let you read any entry in the book itself like a page inside it without the need to remove the entry. For example the Codex entries in the Erchius monster level could all be put into one book and you could title it appropriately.

'gora say it's a usefull mod but it's a pain to edit a book since u cant erase a line without going First person shooter on the backspace button, creating a line was a bit of a pain

I found out that the color options do count as characters for automatically determining newlines on the book editor window... is it possible to correct that?

can you make a itome to use like a pen instead of needing quikbar mini mod?

I gotta say I was incredibly happy to find a quality book creation mod almost immediately after searching, and having played around with it I can attest it's bassically everything I wanted. I do take issue with one thing though, and that's the fact that pressing enter does not push all the text in front of the cursor to the next line. I'm trying to fix a spacing issue and all I need to do is move the text beyond a certain point down one line, but whenever I press enter it just moves the cursor down. Is there something I'm doing wrong, perhaps?

Other changes I'd think would be welcome would be the ability to click on certain parts of the lines to move the cursor there (rather than at the end of the line), and to be able to hold backspace to delete.

Yes, you would. You would no longer be able to edit your books once you do that, however, unless you reinstalled the mod @blagarg.

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question. Not that I would ever, ever uninstall this amazing mod, but if for any reason I do would it be safe to do so?

Or ask a friend to hold it for you then tell them to drop it.

I'd love to know if it's possible to drag certain books across characters. Perhaps if there is a file that could be moved or this and that.

Is there no way to insert new lines between text? Such as a new entry edited in between two existing entries in a custom book?

Could you make it so that you can hold down "Backspace" to erase more than one character at a time?

To get around working with mutlline text: goto https://www.browserling.com/tools/join-lines , copy the text into the box, and in the textbox where it says "join by" use " \n " (no quotes). Starbound should understand what the newline representation is and display it accordingly.

well if copy pasting doesn't work you could always try setting a record for your self for "words per minute" typing when trying to copy what you see by hand. if everything were as easy as the snap of a finger we'd all be bored.

I've tried - My theory is it only supports pasting 1 line's worth of information. I accidentally pasted a steam link, which worked, but a single chapter of 100 words didn't?

You could try not copypasting everything in one go too. Maybe copy and paste it by halves?

Note: By that I mean upwards of 99K words. Not a commonplace problem, but quite cumbersome for me :/

Fantastic mod! One thing though, it doesnt support pasting large amounts of text :( Possibly fix in the next update?

if i may ask what quickbar mini mods do you have? havent seen some of them before
