Highways over Wall - Ramp With Shoulder - Adaptive Network Road

the v5 change of this network creates significant problems. if not using AN, then street lighting appears on both sides of the road. they can be removed with network skins, but there is no way to revert to left/right only lighting without AN. Since this ramp (and the narrow one without the emergency lane) have been re-used in the v5 AN set, I would appreciate it if you could create a new asset with the original non-AN ramps and their functionality, to work and align with the original non-AN highway set. I also prefer the visuals of the non-AN set.

There are other problems with the AN update. Some nodes of this ramp, when set to "bend" with node controller, then appear with the cable-stayed bridge visuals. Setting them to other node types fixes it, but then duplicates the lane markings. Since the update, many nodes involving all of the over wall networks lose their IMT settings on load, or disappear entirely.

@zerio also, I just realized you're asking about that extra lane there in the image. That's an emergency lane, so an off ramp was used and an extra lane added for emergency traffic. You could choose not to include that with a regular vanilla walled road
Plazmafield 10 Aug, 2022 @ 10:39pm
@zerio You can "center", i.e. align the edge of the nodes using Node Controller. That said, this is way way easier to get a clean highway wall on/off ramp than vanilla.
zerio 12 Feb, 2022 @ 1:00pm
Hey, what was the reason your ramp off to the side? Not centered like vanilla one?

Nice video...Don't know if i need this mod since i'm still a beginner to the game...but i enjoyed watching the build in the video...for now i''l fave it in "favorites" for later...Thank you
SimoG  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 3:12am
@uncle ron Thanks. I Correct immediately. No, it's not necessary.
uncle ron 5 Sep, 2021 @ 2:06am
@SimoG hi. Of all your assets in this highways collection, this asset is the only listed as requiring Mass Transit. Is that correct?
codewitch 24 Feb, 2021 @ 2:44pm
@SimoG you can solve that with a separate version, of course. Have it be a bus/taxi lane in vanilla (which I think requires after dark) which allows service vehicles, busses, taxies, SoS, by default.
SimoG  [author] 24 Feb, 2021 @ 2:41pm
@Mornach it is possible but I think there would be a couple of problems: those who do not use TM:PE would end up with cars that use the hard shoulder with related lane math problems. Then, where there are ramps, the services would not have the possibility to pass over because, if there is a queue at the exit/entrance, they would be hindered frustrating the effort
codewitch 24 Feb, 2021 @ 1:30pm
@Mornach even so, it would mess up your one-click "dedicated turning lanes" and S.O.S. still allows police cars "on patrol" and other vehicles not responding to an emergency
Mornach 24 Feb, 2021 @ 10:30am
Would it be possible to make the emergency lane working as a normal lane, then one can add the S.O.S rule from TM:PE...?
SimoG  [author] 22 Jan, 2021 @ 12:59am
@asterisk11231Exact. The emergency lane is only aesthetic, so there is no functional difference.
codewitch 21 Jan, 2021 @ 7:31pm
@SimoG wait, the only difference between this and w/o Emergency lane is the size? The lane-space isn't a usable lane? We call that "the shoulder" in the US.
SimoG  [author] 21 Oct, 2020 @ 7:54am
Added to collection a Narrow version of Ramp, without Emergency Lane
SimoG  [author] 21 Oct, 2020 @ 1:13am
@Silent WIP :-)
Egdot 20 Oct, 2020 @ 9:37pm
Great work, thank you! I've tested it extensively and your roads have succeeded in my game over CSUR, Shuto Expressway, and NExt. The only thing I'm missing is a comapct ramp without emergency lane to create som compact and complex interchanges
SimoG  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 5:35am
@xybolt Many Thanks :-)
For CSL limits it is not always possible complete road markings automatically. In these cases you can use the Intersection Marking Tool mod. The zebra stripes is also built with that mod.

Now I have updated the description of the ramp (I forgot to do it :-D) and you will also find the link of the mod.
xybolt 30 Aug, 2020 @ 3:06am
Hi SimoG, I found this mod today and I have been experimenting with it. It is truly a great work. I loved it and am considering to update my whole highway network with these assets, got your whole collection. It took me a minute to figure out how to create a little gap in the concrete walls to get a crossing road through it. However, I have troubles to ... reproduce that striped marking you see in the pictures with this asset I am commenting on. Imagine you have a highway and you want to have an off-ramp. Well, I built that with this asset. Yet I am unable to get those striped marks. I am talking about those road marking stripes you see here: https://i.postimg.cc/zvNnhBjQ/vlcsnap-2020-08-16-22h38m01s483.png (image taken from your Collections page)

I believe that it's dependent of which road you're taking, correct? Or am I overlooking on something specific?
SimoG  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 4:45am
@Archangel Yes it can be done. I put it in the list.
Archangel 25 Aug, 2020 @ 1:36am
is there possibly, pretty please with a ton of sugar on top, any chance of getting a ramp without the emergency lane? :-)
SimoG  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 4:39am
@kian.zarrin Mod Updated, great. I already have a couple of junctions to use it on.
kian.zarrin 21 Aug, 2020 @ 1:34am
you are in for a treat!
SimoG  [author] 19 Aug, 2020 @ 12:58am
@kian.zarrin I did not realize that you are the author :-D
However your mod I recommended it on the page that describes the collection of these roads.

Good to know which has passed the alpha stage. As soon as you update I try it gladly. I have already subscribed it for a while, although I keep it deactivated.
kian.zarrin 18 Aug, 2020 @ 11:32pm
who are you on discord BTW?
kian.zarrin 18 Aug, 2020 @ 11:32pm
that mod should be beta by now. its been thoroughly tested. i just forgot about it. anyway I am releasign new beta tested version and then after one weak of release if there was no major problem it will be stable.
kian.zarrin 18 Aug, 2020 @ 11:30pm
oh i see. so wait until i release the new version.
SimoG  [author] 18 Aug, 2020 @ 2:51pm
@kian.zarrin probably yes, but when I released this, it didn't exist yet :-D

I personally don't trust alpha mods. The risk of losing the city is too high (I always make backups but usually the disaster happens when you haven't done it for a while :-D)
kian.zarrin 18 Aug, 2020 @ 2:30pm
wouldn't it better to just use the node controller for corner offset/smoothness?
Bp101697 20 Apr, 2019 @ 8:15pm
Thank you very much.
SimoG  [author] 20 Apr, 2019 @ 5:00am
@Fynboen @Bp101697 I'm working on it. I'm redoing all the models to use less textures.
The tunnels have a problem with intersections. In practice the roof becomes invisible showing the sky.
Bp101697 20 Apr, 2019 @ 1:31am
How about rendered tunnel?
Fynboen 4 Feb, 2019 @ 12:08pm
How about a 4lane ?
SimoG  [author] 28 Dec, 2018 @ 2:54pm
@XxSimbuilderxX yes, the mods i suggest, are not mandatory but they improve the use.
I also uploaded a video, where mess with these roads.
JTheGoat 28 Dec, 2018 @ 1:18pm
So I just download the Collection, the mods (I always have those 3 mods), and this and the roads will automatically form like so?
internationalrapid 8 Nov, 2018 @ 8:15pm
No prob.
SimoG  [author] 3 Nov, 2018 @ 2:20am
@internationalrapid Strange ... I had already fixed this issue. I will check again. Thanks
internationalrapid 2 Nov, 2018 @ 8:44pm
A problem: The tunnel portals disappear when zoomed out too far. I have 6-lane (3+3) tennels and the portals just show as blue boxes on the ground when I zoom out. Can you fix this?
SimoG  [author] 6 Aug, 2018 @ 4:34am
@Neww_ Very good work.
Neww_ 5 Aug, 2018 @ 3:19pm
Your roads here can make some pretty nice looking sunken highways pretty easily! https://i.redd.it/clla57snf9d11.jpg
SimoG  [author] 11 Jul, 2018 @ 7:32am
ConureGuy_411 25 May, 2018 @ 8:41pm
It's showing up now. Thanks. I was having an issue with a couple mods that were updated and conflicting with each other and they've since been updated and now its showing up. Not completely sure that was the cause, but its the only logical thing I can think of since the mods related to roads. Anyways, thanks! Great asset!
SimoG  [author] 25 May, 2018 @ 1:25am
@ConureGuy_411 yes, in the road menu.
I don't know if any mod can give this problem but it is an option.
Those that can be incompatible with various roads from workshop, are the mods that change the textures on the streets or that remove the road markings (arrows excluded).
ConureGuy_411 25 May, 2018 @ 1:21am
By highway tab, you mean where all the roads are listed? I looked there and didn't see it. I wonder if one of my mods could be preventing it from showing up?
SimoG  [author] 25 May, 2018 @ 1:00am
@ConureGuy_411 it's under highway tab usually towards the bottom.
ConureGuy_411 25 May, 2018 @ 12:50am
Where can I find this? I can't find it in my game.
Apanatschi 15 May, 2018 @ 5:11am
Wish to have this function for vanilla streets too.
SimoG  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:42pm
@Agamemnicon Si, Italiano. Nice work with the junction. Apart from Rome, I do not know the area :-D I live further north.
SimoG  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 12:59pm
@abe10254631 Thanks for the screen and sorry for the delay in the answer.
I tried all my Roads again with and without all the mods I use but I have not found that flaw. Sopsetto was a temporary dysfunction of the Fine Road Tool. If you continue to have the problem, could you give me your list of mods? Maybe you use one that is somewhat incompatible that I do not have.
Agamemnicon 1 Apr, 2018 @ 11:45am
Huh.. Steam really didn't like the link I posted below. Lemme try again: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1348528705
Agamemnicon 1 Apr, 2018 @ 11:44am
Gave you a shoutout here (http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1348528705) as I upgraded several ramp segments with your concrete wall versions. Lei e Italiano? Perhaps you'll recognize the interchange?

This asset is so clutch.. I've been wanting something like this for years!
