"The Planetary Diversity Belt v2.1 Patch", for what? Does this patche 'Planet Diversity' to use 'The Belt' or the other way around? Or does this update something else to work with those two? Sorry, just a little confused. Just wondering because I was directed here to get this, but I'm not sure what I'm getting. Can the discription and/or the name be a little more....discriptive?

Hey I got some weird stuff going on. Specifically, something is making the climate preferences show up on the empire creation screen. Continental Preference for example, can be chosen as species traits, leading to species with multiple preferences spawning. Primitives that spawn with the asteroid miners trait always seem to have a couple of these; got a species on a tropical world that had asteroid miners and arctic habitability along with tropical.

a lot of the other patch mods make sure they go at the start of the load order (! in front of it) so maybe that would help?

Yeah, I still don't know how to fix all of that at this point. I'm not an actual coder, I did this on a whim, and I currently no longer have the time to try to bugfix this. If someone wants to take over the patch itself, I would welcome the assist, because I really don't know how PD works, nor do I use it enough to justify.

Soon PD won’t overwrite the Planet classes file, so idk if that will help.

Hope this gets fixed soon.
ALL my planets (other than Gaia) have a 25% habitability, and I bet that's just becaue of research.

I don't mean to heap trouble on you Hit-monkey, but I've got something weird going on. When I start a new game, i go on observe to see that the mods are working - at first glance they are. A system spawns near me with an inhabitable asteroid (14 tiles i think), and two more systems further south, Inbetween are lots of planets both PD and vanilla. Great. However, after playing and saving, i come back and start finding five tile asteroids that i didn't remember seeing at the start of the game. I go on observe again, and there are literally dozens of five tile asteroids all over the map, that weren't there before. As far as i can tell, all the Minor Asteroids that spawned at the start of the game became inhabitable when i reloaded my save. Sorry for the long post, and good luck with the coding.

I have issues too with planetary diversity features. The belt remove the selection of new biome affinity from being selectable for species during the game. Moreover, a species living in a PD planet biome inherit the main race traits of habitability ex: My starting race is Continental, a second race is Cascadian. I try to colonize a Cascadian world with the second race: impossible 15% habitability by the main race... Quite a problem.

Sorry forr the lack of updates, folks, it's been a while since I was able to make any form up updates work. I'm going to try to see if I can't finagle the code into being cooperative, but no promises since I'm still not precisely the brightest tool in the shed in so far as coding goes.

Right, even when the only mods I have running are The Belt, Planetary Diversity, and the patch for the two (all graphic mods off), habitability on the asteroids is still 0% with the trait. Anyone got any ideas?

I run The Belt + Real Space + Planetary Diversity. I ran the game only with those three mods and the habitability was fine (besides the asteroid trat). When I enabled the Immersive galaxy texture mod for Planetary Diversity, habitability went to 0%

Funny question (took me a while to figure this out), do you have the Immersive Galaxy - Planetary divirsity mod ? For some reason it was the only thing that caused the 0% habitability.

For me the asteroid trait perk also doesn't work

Right, even WITH this patch, ALL PD planet types are showing up as 0% habitable for my species, AND Asteroids only show up as colonisable when I reload the save.

I'm running the Belt and PD (including patch) and asteroid miner trait is not working, it doesnt raise habitability at all.

To run Real Space, Planet Diversity and The Belt toguether you'll probably need to remove the pc_asteroid entry from the !Real Space - Planetary Diversity Compatibility Patch 2.0 and have that overriding any other patches/mods.

Hmm, the Asteroid Miner trait doesn't seem to work with the habitability of asteroids, (I'm only running Real Space and Planet Diversity, the other mods I have that adds planet types doesn't seem to touch anything (Gigastructures, Megastructure), it seems the pc_small_asteroid isn't initiating (I see a bunch of size 1-5 asteroids) Any idea what the problem is?

Actually, I compared my patch changes to yours and everything is exactly the same except the arrangement of the planets in the defines (which doesn't mean anything), and also the asteroid habitability modifier in the modifers file. You did forget to include Ocean and Arctic in the modifers for the first few planets though, but beyond that I don't see why mine would work and yours not.

When you combined the 00_planet_classes file, you forgot to take out the mention in the tomb world defines that tells it that there's no unique portrait. Having it in prevents the custom background that comes with PD from showing up in-game. I made my own compat-patch a week ago before you uploaded this one, I could send you what I have and see how it's different!

Hey I just tried it out and I have the same problem as Jimmy. Started out a hive on a swamp world and they have 50% habitability on their home planet (they have 20% habitabilty trait btw). Other swamp worlds have 20% habitability. Also the asteroids say they have 20% habitability, even though I have the asteroid habitability perk. Thanks for the patching effort though! Unfortunately I can't start my game until there is a fix for this.

As in, there's no habitability icons and the habitat preferences, although selectable, don't acutally apply in game, causing all pops to be affected by loss of habitability on their homeworld (happiness, growth, etc)
