If you're running an infinite energy mod that overwrites any specific files for how the energy bar operates then that could be your problem. The Mod uses an Unique Ammo System where it sets your current energy to the ammo count of the weapon you have equipped.
If you have something completely editing a vanilla energy file to something different or completely overhauling energy in any way: I suggest removing that. Otherwise you either can run the risk of crashes, or run the risk of having infinite ammo and ruining balance all together.
