Lol2Gods it's not just you. I can't seem to use the Gathering Storm leaders with any expansion or even the Standard Rules - which is sad because I got this solely because I wanted to play Kristina in standard rules. I love what the creators here has done, amazing. But I would love to see Gathering Storm added.

to remove those leaaders you need to disable the scenarios in aditional content.

I don't know is this coming from this mod: in the leader selection can you choose zombies? Than crash the game. Aliens and others are no leaders. Please remove leaders they crash the game.

Thank you for letting me know. I coded it so that scenario civs would not show up for that reason. I will have to check to see what changes have happened in that is causing them to show up or if it's just new scenarios that I need to code out.

Hello! Is it normal that on the leader selection screen I see the civilizations of the scenarios? If I select one of those civilizations the game crashes.

Sadly, all this mod does is adjust leaders to say they are compatible with explanations even if they are not. I have tried to help out mod creators and the community when a Civ mod that seem to be abandoned and create patches for some leaders and civs, but that is on a case by case, as I have time.

All that said, you should be able to create a custom rule set. Expansion1_config.xml set what RULESET_EXPANSION_1 has and the rules for it. Someone could try creating a mod that adds it's own custom version but that isn't something I have the time to do right now.

hey man, is it possible to mix and match features from gs to rnf ruleset? seeing as you managed to do this you might have some relevant information. im looking to take the good features from gathering storm and putting them into rise and fall or perhaps just make a new ruleset altogether

The problem is your friends wont have the local resources because they do not have the dlc's installed. So if the game allowed you to select that civ when the game would start their clients would all crash because the game would attempt to load files which they don't locally have.

Each scenario has special civs that only work inside that scenario. This mod specially prevents them from being added to the list because if you try to start a game with them it will crash since in normal multiplayer games the resource files for those scenario only civs wont be loaded.

So there is no way to make flags to allow them in the base game? Sorry I dont really know a lot about modding.

No. All this does is modify the civ's you already have downloaded and adjust the coding so they contain the flags to allow them to be picked form the leader select screen. I would assume to use a civ for multiplayer everyone has to have that civ downloaded.

Is there anyway I can get the mod to work so that gathering storm civs can be played with my friends who dont own any of the DLC? Like bringing Hungary into a standard multiplayer game?

Hi, sorry for bothering you again. I got Leugi's Argentina working with a fix posted in the comments and editing the modinfo file and all works well, except for Jose's ability for mounted units to walk on mountains. It seems with the ability enabled in the config, every single unit of every civ is able to walk on mountains. I've been messing around with it for a while but i can't seem to get it working for only Jose's mounted units.

From what I can tell "C15_Assyria_ResettlementLua: Running UI" triggers when the project is finished being built but the next thing to happen is LuaEvents.SCC_Assyria_Resettlement_UI_Do.Add(ShowPopup) which does not appear to work. I have tried disabling mods and playing civ with vanilla or just rise and fall and still get same issue. Which means something in the base coding was changed. I know very little about LUA so I am not sure where the coding is breaking. I'll keep messing around but don't think I'll be much helping fixing that aspect of the mod.

If i'm not wrong, completing the mass resettlement project is supposed to open a ui which would allow you to choose cities which would move population over to the city you completed the project in. And the ua is supposed to have a button pop up next to city panel which allows you to expend population to make military units after completing an encampment.

@minthu21989 played around a little to find bugs for Assyria mod. Like you said seems like most things work. I found in game ability descriptions are missing for the 2 unique units. Not a case of broken links seems no descriptions were actually included. Not sure if the special project actually does anything either. Are those the issues you found? There are of course missing historic moment images but that is because that did not exist when this mod was last updated.

@minthu21989 A few people have asked about multiplayer support, and I couldn't figure out why it didn't work when I use similar coding in my other mods that all work in multiplayer. Turned out to be an easy fix once I checked the in game database while in a multiplayer lobby. Please let me know if this update works for you. I should be able to look at the other mod sometime this weekend.

Regarding MP i tried creating a lobby solo and made sure that the mod was enabled, however it wouldn't let me pick the leaders still.

As for multiplayer I have not tested this for that. For it to work everyone would have to have the custom civ downloaded and this mod also enabled otherwise game would likely crash. I should be able to do some testing later to see if it could work.

Which Assyria mod? Clicking on your link steam says "Link Blocked!" When time allows I have helped other creators fix their mods or in cases of abandoned mods post patches when I am able to find a solution for them.

Everything works perfectly, however there is an issue with the UI not appearing for civs unique project and UA.

Scenario civs will crash most games if attempted to be played outside of their scenario so this mod specifically makes sure they are not enabled.

@Fitzmittens I looks like this mod has been broken for a very long time. There is a fix posted by 69mad on that thread. Using his fix plus this mod does make it work for Solomon but 69mad's fix disables Herod. I am sure there is a reason for that but it will take some time for me to compare all the files to see what is actually broken.

Sure. I'll take a look to see what the conflicts are. Both are selectable in the drop down which is all this mod does but if I find the issue(s) I'll comment in that mod's thread with a fix later this week.

Which Trump mod? I may be able to check the coding and let the author know what compatibility issues their mod has with the expansion. Literally all this mod does is make it so you can select the leader in the drop down. So people can play some out of date mod that don't have conflicts. This does not try to repair any mods that have been broken due to patches or expansions.

I also recommend testing starting a game with each out of date leader mod one at a time.

even when i pick rise and fall under the create game option it crashes whenever i pick a leader such as trump

@Kinder this has been updated now. I only tested it with a few leaders but just like with Rise and Fall all this does is make it so the leaders can be selected. It does not fix any crashes that could happen if those leader mods are not compatible with the Gathering Storm.

Enabling it is all there is for this. This only makes it so that leaders that are compatible with rise and fall but have not had their leader coding updated to support be it will not be able to be selected. It does not fix leaders that have become broken due to patches be it riee and fall. If there is a specific leader this does not work for I can check the coding and possibly comment a way you can make the leader work or let the mod creator know what changes need to be made for it to work.

@Emperor Easpada this is the same issue as what was happening with the Eddard Stark mod. To resolve it close civ 6. Go to steamapps\workshop\content\289070\914746869\ and edit Jedi.modinfo

look for

<ActionCriteria>
<Criteria id="LeaderCriteria">
<LeaderPlayable>StandardPlayers::LEADER_LEXINDRI</LeaderPlayable>
</Criteria>
</ActionCriteria>

delete all of that. Save the file and open Civ 6. The leader should load now.

@LegoCollecter12 I just tested this with a few civs that I know have not been updated and it still works on them. If there is a mod your trying that this doesn't work on I can research that specific one and see if there is something I can add to patch for that mod or maybe let you know something you can edit to make that mod work as well.

@jasoned the problem is with a the actual EddardStark.modinfo file which is not something I can edit using this mod, but it is an easy fix you can edit yourself. First close Civ6. Then go to Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\969224970\
open up the EddardStark.modinfo file with notepad or notepad++ and look for

<ActionCriteria>
<Criteria id="LeaderCriteria">
<LeaderPlayable>Players:Expansion1_Players::LEADER_EDDARD_STARK</LeaderPlayable>
</Criteria>
</ActionCriteria>

Delete all of that coding and save file. The civ will remain playable without R&F and when used with my mod it will be playable with R&F
