I've started getting back into TF2 so maybe later I'll release all of these as skin mods for those who want them whenever I'm not busy.

Looks nice, but it would probably look cooler if you made the black parts australium and the brass parts black or left unchanged, with the exception of the drum.

It's meant to be a trash tier Aussie like the SMG. Brass beast isn't even considered that great of a weapon by most people.

The only servers for mvm that are still popular are two cities ones because you have the highest chance to earn your money back

MvM is already sort of dying. Steel trap is the only tour I never finished, and sadly never will be able to finish it unless I get a full team, because nobody plays that one. My friend and I spent a half hour in the que and got nothing.

If something like this brought people back to playing it, and showed Valve that there is enough interest, it would open the way for new tours in the future with new rewards.

how are you going to stop this from putting regular mvm out of buisness because most mvm players just want australiums and in these tours they are guaranteed

Actually, I had the idea that there should be a 2nd guarenteed reward on completing the tour.

Just a little something you can attatch to any weapon that I don't want to spoil yet. There are different tiers to it, and the tier you get is dependant on how well you performed in the tour.

So not only do you get bragging rights for finishing the tour, but you can also brag about how much ass you kicked in the process.

that sounds neat, you could also try to make silver and bronze versions of the items so it would be a little more satysfying to get an aussie from the new tours (exc: bronze would be basic but you would still have bragging rights, silver would be a higher teir but an aussie would not be NEARLY as rare as in a normal tour but the rarest of the three types

The plan is for some of them to be better than others for what I'm about to pitch. I'm working on a concept for a brand new tour that's going to introduce a bunch of cool new stuff.

Aside from all the new stuff I plan to pitch, the rewards would include guarenteed australiums. It wouldn't include the old ones, only the ones I'm making for the pitch, since we don't want to mess with the market on the ones that are already in the game.

That said though, doing this tour I have planned would be like an unboxing. You're guarenteed to get something, it's just the better stuff is more uncommon. I'd also like this tour to be balls hard. Rather than just being a showing of how lucky/rich you are, these australiums would be a showing of how skilled you are. Something that gives you the right to say, "Yeah, I beat the Gray Gauntlet."

It doesn't end here. I plan on doing every weapon. While I'm at it though, I might as well do these in batches with tiers until I run out of weapons to do.

If you get something you don't like, well that's the luck of the draw.

I'm talking about tiers in a figurative way. The original australiums had a broad range of skins, with some being less desirable than others, like the smg being a more low tier vs an amby or a rocket launcher.

But... Australium skins don't have war paint "tiers", only traders sorts them into rankings. So why bother with making an Australium artificially "low tier"? That makes no sense. :/

The Australiums that are less valued, like the Blutsauger, only are less valued because the weapon stats are mediocre, and it might change the moment the weapon's stats are reworked.

With war paints, the tiers represent Valve's somewhat subjective ranking of purely visual cosmetic differences, how pretty/ugly or intricate/simplistic a texture is.

I considered making the black while designing this one, but it's meant to be a low tier australium, like the smg. A lot of thought went into tiers when I was designing all of these. The brass beast and holy mackerel are more low tier, then you have eternal reward and the heatmaker for mid tiers.

PRO: Brass Beast makes perfect sense as an Australium because the standard Brass Beast is sort of brassy-golden already.
I'm torn on the barrels being black, though. On the one hand, I love the gold/black contrast, it looks cool.
But on the other hand, from a in-universe canonical standpoint, shouldn't the entirety of the barrel and the casing both be golden? I mean, if you want the mysterious "Australium makes everything better" effect on a weapon, shouldn't the barrel be the first thing you replace?

CON: Brass Beast stats are terrible (several huge drawbacks and one mediocre bonus that gets eaten up by damage over distance drop-off anyway!) so it's one of the least used Heavy miniguns, second only to the Huo-Long Heater. :( So I doubt there will be much demand for it.
Maybe hopefully the future Heavy update will happen and Valve will revise the Brass Beast.

I'm surprised this is one of the more highly rated ones so far. It's supposed to be a lower tier aussie and doesn't look too different from the normal one. I was not expecting this lol.
