Wallpaper crashed my PC when interacting with dynamic audio 2/9/2025

This is incredibly cool! Thank you so much for sharing this, one of my favorite wallpapers.

If it is easy to implement, it would be nice if I could have a slider for the vertical position of the clock. On my 32:9 screen I basically have to choose between the clock or the highway lines in the water.

it was working amazing till now for some reason its just black screen, the when i go to pick another wallpaper it works....

I could try to remove the spots (make them optional) however the colored reflection of the spots could be an issue. Perhaps I look into it some time off work, but I can't promise anything right now

Do you think that you could make it to where we could change the colors of those two spots, the red and blue. the red really doesn't match with my color pallet

This is my favorite Wallpaper in the entire app! Wish I could flip it upside down so it would look like my second display is a mirror of the first.

I have had a personal profile for iCUE in this theme, I recreated it for Razer Synapse too, but the profile you get is created by Wallpaper Engine and the link to the RGB software. So if I did not misunderstood you it is generated by taking colors and patterns :3

Just out of curiosity, i have it controlling icue as well and i LOVE the look, but i dont use wallpaper engine that often so i was wondering did you do this yourself? if is it just randomly generated

While I would gladly add that, there is currently no easy way that I am aware of. I would probably add a font config setting when Wallpaper Engine itself gets updated.

you think we can change the font of the clock in the future? Or no?

There is a config row called "Highway: Tint (needs to be enabled below for effect)" where you can set up the color tint for the lines. If the second row "Highway: Tint", which is by default deactivated, the color tint will have no effect.

Furthermore you can change the color of the pulse effect. Under "Highway Breathing" -high/-low. Combined it can look decent enough when color mixed just right :P

There is currently no way to add your music permanently. The audio responsiveness is for your own music playing in background separately.

Both [4K] and [1440P] RetroLake and their preset list (which you could use as a starting point for your own config) were successfully updated to version 13.

If you notice any issues, bugs or mistake hit me up! I'll look into it. With the update many variable values got changed, e.g. the water ones. I do RECOMMEND that you click on "Reset" in the wallpaper config settings way below, so that you get the newest finetuning :P

Preview: I'm thinking of another fork of RetroLake with audio visualizer bars behind the mountains. I might call it a testbench and release it before I actually put such a feature into the offical branch of RetroLake (could possibly contain issues performance/config wise). Though I would have to rework again and while I'm doing it I could add another resolution (e.g. ultrawide).

The time has come! The next (and probably biggest by now) update is here: Version 13 adds further plenty of configurable variables, togglable layers, a possible divide between the two sides and most importantly a cleaner, complete rework of the water animation, reflection areas and the highway.

The preset list is here! You can choose between 4 presets:

"Stormy Water, Calm Clouds",
"Clear Green",
"Red Glow, Blue Force" and
"Dark Blue".

Make sure you read the short text before you start. There is a preset list for the [4K] V.12 RetroLake and the mirrored [1440P] V.11 one, not for [FullHD] X.

I plan to release some JSON presets for RetroLake, which means you can swap easily the style by copying the preset settings and pasting them in Wallpaper Engine.

Make sure your own presets are saved before you do that though! Stay tuned.
