If you're looking for other good map mods may I suggest "Got Lakes" or "Detailed Worlds".
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1312838799\Maps\Utility
Open the file RiversLakes in Notepad or similar.
Scroll over halfway down until you see: function AddRivers()
Change riverSourceRangeDefault and seaWaterRangeDefault from 15 to something smaller like 8 or 6 and save.
An oft heard complaint about R a& F is that there are too few rivers. I added a mod thar promised more riverts but I haven't seen that it has had any effect.
A lot of the map looks... well, real! I didn't know I needed a map mod like this until I got it.
Great work!
I am a big fan of seeing a continent script to make it more likely to have 2+ land masses fairly split apart.
My main issue with CIVI are the poor maps, especially the placement of mountains. If I could make a suggestion before I do more playthroughs with your script is to have an option for way less mountains/less mountains ranges (more single tile mountains). "old" world age just is not enough.
Keep up the good work!
Mountain ranges are excellent, terrain feature and resource spacement are perfect and the worlds are wonderful. Not encountered any mod conflicts (not that I would expect to). Having Massive and Gigantic maps is +++. I agree with no ice. Keep up the good work! Rated up.
@Vipertools I do like actually having to use aquaducts for once, but even then if there is a large flat land area, which this mod does have a few of, there is nowhere for that aquaduct. You still need to be near fresh water, or mountains. It just needs some tweaking to get the right balance is all.
And also to the people saying there is not enough rivers: that's what aquaducts are for. :)
@jormag, I think rare rivers is cool but if you dont settle land because of it, the AI will. Also I thik you stumbled upon something interesting, one tile lakes shouldn't always be perfectly round, perhaps FIRAXIS might change it in a future update? Like the desert mountains.
I like it just like it is, but split it up in bigger land masses?
