"Starting now, I'm wondering if you're doing all that screen breaking on purpose." LOL. Gotta love Wheatley's banter. Thanks for playing.

Oooh great maps! Just played them all in one sitting. Wheatley's dialog is used amazingly and breaking the screens is a nice distraction from the puzzles. Also difficulty was spot on for me. Thanks Skyferret!

Thanks for the video. In the Bonus Part 3 Fails section of the video, the correct method was to use the tractor beam to get vertical height instead of bouncing.
Thanks for playing.

Okay yeah that makes sense

I think what I done was look for Wheately lines as I was building the map(s) that would go with events. Such as what would go good with a malfunctioning door. "I thought I fixed that." Or, I'd look at the Wheately lines and build around that. So I never really looked to put together a story, but just incorporate lines and events.

Gameplay-wise, a lot of fun. The puzzles were tricky enough to make me feel smart, but not hard enough to be frustrating, and I liked how you built upon the same techniques. Impressive Hammer work and great aesthetics throughout, and clever use of Wheatley voice lines. However, I do have a criticism: the story is confusing. Specifically, the way Wheatley constantly flip-flops from "solve this puzzle :)" to "TIME TO DIE MUAHAHAH" to "oh ok you survived, solve this puzzle :)". Maybe you did this in order to include both chapter-8-ish and chapter-9-ish content in every map, or maybe your intent was to avoid copying canon, but it just comes off like a weird Starscream-Megatron dynamic where Wheatley keeps betraying Chell but expects her to instantly forgive and still be surprised next time he does it.
(also, unrelated, but "subscribe to all" put the maps in my queue in reverse order for some reason??)

WOW, first "collectoins" page! Your mappack is one of best. Other ones contain a lot of custom mechanics, but you made really good maps using only portalgun!

@pdh74717 .......Quite easy. Click on "Subscribe to all" then start the game and go to Community Test Chambers.

Thought I'd comment on the collection as a whole: This is great and basically worthy of DLC-status. If Valve wanted even more money they should hire you to make some Portal 2 maps. Glad you're still creating stuff for the game.
Meatball 17 Mar, 2018 @ 1:51pm
What I'm trying to say is, the walls and other things look like they don't have this lightmapping (or how it is called) on them. You know, this raytracing stuff. Corners that should be dark are as bright as the rest of the walls.
Skyferret  [author] 17 Mar, 2018 @ 1:23pm
@ Тефтель .........I use omnidirection lighting, spot lights and projected texture lighting. And sometimes I add color to them.
Meatball 17 Mar, 2018 @ 12:57pm
You've made some very satisfying puzzles. But it seems like there is no static lighting on your maps for some reason. Or is it just me?
dire.fcs 15 Mar, 2018 @ 10:36pm
Very good hammer work, as usual, in this easy/medium difficulty collection of maps; good set of puzzles overall.

Also you're welcome! Love doing this. Been playtesting my own map for at least 2 hours now! Fun stuff.
Stimich 23 Feb, 2018 @ 12:43pm
@Ferret - Not only that, but make them not 128, but 256, or at least more than 128, to make my route not possible anymore.
Kam 23 Feb, 2018 @ 10:50am
thanks:steamhappy:
Skyferret  [author] 23 Feb, 2018 @ 9:29am
@Stimich......At least I know that at 16:11 in the video there's no getting around that one. But for most of it, I guess this way it gives me an idea of what to watch for in the future. One example would be use more of what's called info_placement_helper. It means "one only" portal on single square white panels. Thanks for the video.
Skyferret  [author] 23 Feb, 2018 @ 7:21am
@Vince_........Yeah, I couldn't just make the elevator ride just so cheese and pepperoni. I had to throw in something extra. Thanks for playing.
mandarin snail 23 Feb, 2018 @ 4:50am
Really, really cool and amazing! I have no words to describe how nicely done this was. The final fight took me some time because I kept dying due to me being a stinking pile of idiot-material, but hey, I made it to the end. Also seeing Fact Core and Rick at the end made my day.
Stimich 22 Feb, 2018 @ 2:23pm
Also, I made a video on this. Played through all the parts, found some unintended solutions for some of the parts.

@hoodedrecon - He made this using the Portal 2 Authoring Tool. It's free and you can find it under "tools" in your Steam library! It's a bit more complicated than the in-game editor, but once you get the hang of it, it's the way to go when making maps. At least in my opinion.
Kam 22 Feb, 2018 @ 1:51pm
how did you make this with these objects? They aren't in editor dso either A:this is a mod that was not made with the editer or B: you use a mod to make this mod
