I have noticed that no matter how quickly I discover investors, I am not able to build an industry. Maybe there is a mod conflict, but is there anyone else dealing with this?
At first I thought they just beat me to it, but I had a map with nearly all of it near me and still couldn't make an industry.

Can somebody update, or better yet, replace this mod? I say replace because I highly, no pun intended, doubt that the mod author is going to update this.

I keep using it because I like seeing it and it helps with production and culture. Civ6 is almost dead because of the mods not being updated for whatever reason.

@TLC Arturiunn Truelight, I agree and would like to have it updated as well. THIS IS A KEY RESOURCE for the world and the dang game. There are a couple of mods that needs updating, I am retired and might mess around with it. People who make mods have a responsibility to update them or remove them!!

If there's anyone out there who can update this, that'd be awesome. Hemp always shows as a trade of 0 from AI players, and I can't trade it to them, at all. I also get a LUA error when launching with this mod enabled, sometimes. Thanks to the original creator, for sure!

With 6T Grand Eras out, it might be nice to add the Post-Classical era to naval unit production boost from hemp.

Noticed trade thing too , Ai will trade at 0, but when raise to 1 ai refuses.

Still nice mod , thou me currently am using bit too many resource mods and not want to overpower the clutter. In last bit short test game run Hemp was on map and Cannabis was a no find , as not doing a game test long run on it. :Diplomat:

Hemp makes perfect sense as a resource since nearly every civilization used it at one point or another for ropes and fabric and would probably not exist without it. :steamhappy:

I love this mod and consider it mandatory for all my games. However a weird glitch causes the AI civs who have a hemp resource to often try to trade 0 (zero) hemp to me, often for ridiculous things like my first oil or a great work. Furthermore, if I ever try to get an AI to include 1 (one) hemp in a trade, they always say they won't consider the deal under any circumstances. Does anybody else have this problem? It would be fantastic if it could be fixed in the next version. Thanks!

Might be nice to include Naval Bombard for the hemp bonus for Warfare Expanded users; I already edited my local xml to add it.

Hey guys, just passing by to say that since I downloaded the new frontier pass I cannot use the mod anymore. No pressure to do anything:) but if it would be compatible I would download it again, I liked it a lot and to be honest It's a bit sad the creators do not seem to care to adjust their new content to the more popular mods. take care

I am not sure why it isn't working with your Gathering Storm. Both of us have fully updated games with Gathering Storm, and the mod works. Please post what the problem is that you are having.

Love this, especially the way you've incorporated Pantheons into it. My biggest disappointment with resource mods is how they aren't further integrated into the gameplay (like building bonuses and such), so kudos for that!

I turned the mod off and on again and I saw it in one of my recent games...idk what the issue was but it's solved!

We did not make any changes to the mod, and, as far as I know, the game did not undergo changes that reduce the likelihood of cannabis placement. Cannabis appeared in 2 of the last 3 games we have played, so it does not seem to be showing up less frequently than it did before. Is it possible that you added some other mod that affects resource placement that is interacting with this one?

When you place a plantation over hemp in your nation, you receive +20% toward the production of all pre-Industrial era boats based on hemp's historical use for sails, rigging, and rope. :)

GS treats hemp as a strategic resource but it only allocates 1 unit for each plantation. Hemp IRL was necessary for almost all shipping until plastics came into widespread use ( nylon mainly).

Hi @Deviathan Whale, we have since purchased GS. Hemp does not interact with the new system because nothing requires hemp to be bought.

I really like this mod, especially being that I work in the CBD industry. Is it possible to increase cannabis' gold value after researching Refining? CBD Oil currently is more valuable than gold.

Gotcha. Well I don't think I had any hemp near me in my last game but I had a bunch of cannabis plantations that seem to work fine with GS, pantheons showed up right etc.

@Ecko L7 there is a mod called Resourceful 2 that adds poppies (red only)

@rlong9000 we made them like the unmodded game is (strategic and luxury resources not harvestable). The reason you can harvest everything else is because of Truly Abundant Resources I think. For our own game, we also have a mod that lets us harvest anything though including this. We could include harvesting in the next update, or you could ask the creator of Truly Abundant Resources to add support for these resources as well since he has added specific compatibilities with Resourceful, Civitas, and Sukritact's resources already.

Mk Z that is an interesting idea. It would definitely make finding hemp near a coast more exciting later in the game and make it more valuable. In order to do so, it would also have to not be strategic and tradeable. Will consider that in an update.

@AOM - Great Mod. Confirmed to work in a 100 plus modded Giant Earth YnAEMP game that includes R&F, Resouseful2, Truely Abundant, etc. Both resources can be developed (plantation) and produce the intended effect. Both allow seeds to be collected by the Botanist.

However, as my use of the game is sandboxing/simulation rather than competetive, I found it frustrating that I was unable to harvest/remove it (as with iron, niter, etc) with the builder (Harvest all the Things Mod) and the presence of both resources blocks wonder and district placement.

Was this intentional on your part, or can/might you tweak it to no longer prevent district/wonder placemet?

opium poppy - in 3 major (colors red ,purple, yellow), cocain, peyote,datura, magic mushrooms could all be farmed from a harvested and so on if you can ~PLEASE~ add to go more indepth for this mod i love the cannibus and hemp love the work thank you

Cannabis has always been a strategic resource, read history because it not only needs to be in the game, it is part of world history. Cannabis & Hemp has shown up going back 10,000 years or more. It can be used for over 5000 different products and lasts longer
