So ... from day one this stuff worked just fine. This evening, I went to change a team's ballpark and no matter what I choose, it never changes to the 3D model, it only goes to one of the generic spring training fields.
Further, when I go into the folder that shows each year individually, no parks ever show - well, nothing shows in the list really.
About two months ago I moved Steam from one driver to another, which I'm guessing is part of the issue.
Any thoughts would be appreciated - thanks!

I'm confused. So, downloading (hitting the "Subscribe" button on this Steam page) here is followed by installing online at the OOTP Baseball Workshop in the OOTP online forums? Thanks for responding! It's been a long time since I bothered to MOD anything computer-gaming related. I looked on the OOTP Baseball forums but didn't see the workshop just now. I'll keep looking.

Did you figure it out yet? (I just saw your message.) The install button is found in Workshop Central in OOTP (not Steam). You may have to scroll down a bit to see the button.

I know I'm probably just not looking in the right place but I subscribed to this and downloaded it but I don't see any button in the Workshop to install it. The only button is the green Subscribed button which changes too Unsubscribe if you pass the mouse cursor over it. Thanks for any help!

Did you click the INSTALL button next to the item in Workshop Central?

No, they won't show automatically unless you start a new league. However, you should be able to select them manually, one by one, for each ballpark.

Hi ps, I noticed you said you have to start a new league? I am playing a 1986 season right now. I installed into that but the ballparks don't show?

@BonelessBread: Once you subscribe, the file should download to your PC (and it'll take a while since it's a large file). Then, in Workshop Central, you click on Install. I think that's all that's to it. The parks will show up when you create a new league.

How do you activate it? Is it automatically added?

I never was able to get it to work again. One of the updates must have messed it up. I did reinstall and downloaded but no luck, bummer

I am downloading again since for some reason the parks are not showing up within the game. I am not sure of why?

thanks for answering so quickly. I'd contact steam but I know they'd never answer. The hist facegen packs is showing up as "hidden" in my workshop and suddenly says I have no access to it. Just another wierd Steam-OOTP anomoly!

pstrickert: I noticed I suddenly "do not have access" to the historical facegen through the workshop. WHy would this have happened?

More than 1000 users have downloaded silvam's ballparks. If there was a widespread problem with them, we'd probably hear about it. But only a handful of users have reported a problem. If you're having a problem with the mod, it's probably a 3D problem in general. Check the OOTP bug report forum for a "3D problems" thread. This thread has instructions for resolving 3D issues (which would include 3D ballparks). Other than that, I don't know what to suggest.

Historical Facegen Pack works great, but Historic Ballparks does not work and causes Freezing. For the game to work again you have to do - Force game data re-installation

Can someone tell me how to get rif of this awful mod? My game is now unplayable with lockups and the stadiums don't even work! This is absolutely awful. This mod ruined my game!

So i downloaded this, went to workshop central. Installed it. Went back into my saved game, went to play a game, even though the stadium was selceted, I saw the same old default stadium and then to make matters worse, the first game I played locked up! SUPER. Any thoughts because honestly so far this stinks.

Yes, the 3D aspect of the game seems more finicky in OOTP19.

Again, I'd like to add: I have not had a SINGLE crash since the implementation of the latest Steam patch for the game. I had plenty of crashes beforehand. I think it's a 3D related issue native to the game (although not positive of this), which they somehow addressed with the patch. My computer didn't change, I still have the stadiums downloaded thanks to the workshop. Crashed before OFTEN: since the patch: no crashes.

Wish I had an answer. The mod is nothing technical; it's simply a time-saver, assigning all the pics and parks ahead of time for the user. The stadium models (created by silvam and enhanced by adion) themselves remain unchanged. If I had to guess, the problem is either a 3D-related problem with your system, a graphics card problem, or a problem with one of the stadium models.

Yes unfortunately I too have crashing issues when using this mod. It seems that every time I first play in a stadium, it will crash, but after that it runs fine

@robinsonsteve77: I'm not sure what to tell you. The mod should work, as is, for historical leagues. If you want to use one of the stadium models for a different team, you should be able to assign it. Did you choose the .obj or .pod file?

robinsonsteve...I too was experiencing quite a few crashes.
However, upon installing the game's latest patch, I re-started (re-created) some of the seasons I was replaying. WITH the facegens and stadiums that pstrickert has so generously taken the time to upload to the workshop (so Steam automatically installs them, once subscribed).
Since the new pathc, AND since re-starting these seasons, playing with 3D settings maxed out: not ONE crash. not one. I tried every solution the DEVs presented (which may have helped). But the only sure thing that STOPPED my crashes was installing the newest patch.
Running Win 7 on a couple-year-old Dell (which works GREAT still with all my high-end and low-end games).
Did you try installing the newest patch and re-starting your season(s)? worked for me!

Yes I read the freezing and crashing page in the discussions but with no luch still happening.

I installed this mod, installed the stadium I wanted (for my expansion team) through the actions menu in the ballparks editor and did all I should have but too many times when I am playing the game it freezes and eventually kicks (crash) me out of the game. I have tried reading many threads and tried many things to get this to work with no luck. Stadium work is amazing and would love to use this but can stop it from freezing and kicking me out. any help would be great if not for the time being I'll use a default stadium.

No, there should be no crashes. The only crashes I heard about were after users tried (wrongly) to download the OOTP18 mod through Add Ons Central and apply it to OOTP19.

Do you have auto-updates enabled in Steam? I wonder if that'd make a difference.

I subscribed to both the face Mod and the Parks Mod. Haven't seen either.

Did you subscribe to the mods (each mod has a big green Subscribe button)? That's step one. I think the mods should download in the background the next time you start OOTP using Steam. I can't remember if they install automatically or not. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

@dohh: When silvam creates a new ballpark, I usually add it to the mod. Recently, he created some Japanese stadiums.
