It's just my preference that you start with it.
But anyways I'm about to test this out now. Great idea Blankimedes! I've got no idea why they removed the slave starts in the first place.
I think that was the only thing that would cause any problems (other than probably hive shackles and the fact that your character isn't ment to start out as a blank slave).
I avoided the Holy Nation and with 58 hours left before ex-slave status expire, I got caught by Shek guards for trying to pick lock to their shop. Now I'm a slave for the Shek Kingdom (which I don't even know is a thing. Do Shek even have slaves?)
Now whenever I go near any Shek town, the character will try to get back in cages belonging to the Shek. LOL
I think this happens because you set the AI as "Slave only squad", so once the character become a slave, it will always behave as NPC slave. Not exactly sure since I didn't try to remove it.
It was a fun run tho. Hope you'll find the solution for this issue.
Even when I ran past the guards at the gates and run away from Rebirth, whenever I leave her alone, she'll try to get back in her cage in Rebirth.
Has this happen to you? I'm going to try to import to see if it still persist. BRB.
