Are the increments weekly like in a 20 year game or monthly like in a 100 year game?

I want a 20 year game set of operations for the city economies and hauling of trains, as well as growth of cities, etc, but it runs for 100 years with all of the technologies. etc.

I am trying to add rest of the factoris to these mods, or I can bring their appieance of them to earlier, because I know due to High Invention Points, tech get unlock really fast and by end of 1860 everything is unlock!. and also i am trying to add couple of task into the mods.

I think it is a good idea because I dont like that I have only the lockomotives vor the time I have set

What long term, campaign type of games, need is for not all the resource locations to be known at the start of the game. Particularly resources that no one can use at the start. Their locations would become known only have certain techs/innovations were researched. Also we need additional sites of (old types of) resources to be discovered/added to the game as it progresses. The problem is getting the computer program to do it. Perhaps, we could add an exploration/development effort that costs innovation points, money and time to look for a certain type of resource in a general area on the map. RE is way too poor on the number and distribution of it's resource sites, particularly agricultural ones.
