Can this work with the "Give a Dog a Home" quest in Hearthfire? In other words, can this wolf be adopted? If so, I'll definitely be subscribing!

yes there is a bug u should know about.

well the only one i've really come across is the "wait here" command does not work. nor does the "hold E" and wait over where u want them to wait command work.
peacewalker009 25. dec. 2013 kl. 2:35

i cant find him
dvlbarnes 13. nov. 2013 kl. 13:40
I loved Opus, however while I was out adventuring alone he got bored and went to his area. I then did a quest with a talking dog named Darius I believe. When I went back to get Opus, he would not activate. I have reset follower count, reloaded him nothing seems to work. Any Ideas, prob cant get any animal follower now.
nilloh 4. sep. 2013 kl. 15:33
does it work with another wolf mod?
MageSirus_TTV 15. aug. 2013 kl. 18:26
ya is there a way to make it so Opus will go to my house in solitude instead of going back to the farm?
BabyCakes 10. juni 2013 kl. 14:44
I love this wolf! is there anyway I can adopt Opus so he can stay at the house instead of returning to Pelagia farm?
Schallas 30. maj 2013 kl. 10:42
nice once. i've wanted this since day 1
Zophie BlackHeart 24. maj 2013 kl. 4:16
maybe add a small conversation between you and the wolf when he first joins you if you deside to add the voice over that is...
Zophie BlackHeart 24. maj 2013 kl. 4:14
awe.... :( thats sad... because it looks so... wierd... and creapy... -sigh- oh well... great mod though!!! it be nice if he could speak... if your thinking of updating... you should see if you can get someone with a really deep and scrachy voice, kind of demonic, voice to do some voice overs for you to add to him... i think that would make him a lot more enjoyable...
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2013 kl. 3:41
Yes that is normal and sadly, no, I can't fix it. It's built into the default mesh animations for wolves.
Zophie BlackHeart 24. maj 2013 kl. 2:49
hi, im not having any problems... im just having a small "ishue" with his eyes... whenever i look at him and he's running towords me... his eyes get really wide... is this normal and can it be fixed..?
Howlin'Napalm 21. apr. 2013 kl. 14:56
I'm having the same problem. I couldn't get him to leave and i unsubscribed and now i can't get any animals to follow me, even after i set my player follower count to 0 and resubscribing, but i cant get him to follow me.
Drifting Sands 26. mar. 2013 kl. 13:56
it dident work but thanks for trying ill stay subed and try talking every once and a wile.
Drifting Sands 24. mar. 2013 kl. 5:56
ok ill try that
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2013 kl. 4:42
In that case try using the console command "set playerfollowercount to 0" without the quotes. That might fix the problem :)
Drifting Sands 24. mar. 2013 kl. 2:44
does it maby have something to do with the fact i never dismissed him befor i uninstalled it
Drifting Sands 23. mar. 2013 kl. 14:06
i un subed to all mods deleted all files of them exept for "real fus ro dah (shout with chant) mod because i dident think that had anything to do with it but then i re subed to opus only and the fast travaled befor i talk just in case but when i press e still nothing happens :(
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2013 kl. 15:23
@Kool Patrick - That is very strange. This follower has the exact same script as the regular dog follower in the game. The only change to the script was the name. It should work without a hitch.

You could try unsucribing, deleteing the scripts, loading Skyrim, saving, and then re-subscribing. You can find the scripts in your Skyrim/Data/Scripts directory. There are four of them. LoneWolfFollowerDismissScript, LoneWolfFollowerFollowScript, LoneWolfFollowerWaitScript, and LoneWolfTalkScript. Thats the best solution I can think of. I hope it helps!
Drifting Sands 22. mar. 2013 kl. 14:50
alos i dissabled all folower mods + mount mods
Drifting Sands 21. mar. 2013 kl. 13:24
ok so i lost opus in the place where you find the elder scroll and i fat travaled 5 times and he wouldent come so i went to game files uncheacked opus the lone wolf and played my save so he was gone then i saved and went to game files again and cheaked it and now i press e but i cant talk to him anymore... PLEASE HELP
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 14. mar. 2013 kl. 9:06
Try fast traveling then return to Opus and try activating with "E" a few times to see if you get the dialogue options. Also make sure you arn't running other mods that might be conflicting with Opus. Other follower mods are most likely the problem.
cakelove 14. mar. 2013 kl. 8:49
He wont follow me! :( Why?!?!
Drifting Sands 10. mar. 2013 kl. 11:14
thankyou
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 10. mar. 2013 kl. 10:24
He's wandering around behind the windmill just beyond Pelegia Farm.
Drifting Sands 10. mar. 2013 kl. 10:14
i can't find him
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2013 kl. 17:10
Since you are having problems with this one and the Enkindled Wolf it sounds like you are having some sort of conflict with another mod you have installed. If you want to go through the trouble you can try unchecking your mods one at a time and then trying this mod again after each. Other follower or pet mods are the most likely suspects.
ShylaFawl 6. mar. 2013 kl. 14:26
He would not follow me or even talk to me and I tried to fast travel and he still didn't respond.
lloydmcdivitt 3. mar. 2013 kl. 17:54
I wish I could feed him, like he comes up and growls like once a day.It would take raw venison, beef, horker,or goat leg like that.
Razgriz 2. mar. 2013 kl. 19:05
Yea Mechwarrior!
ER404 2. mar. 2013 kl. 14:33
huh okay lol it is kinda funny cause if you walk off he starts to follow you and his eyes get all big like this o_o lol pretty funny
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2013 kl. 14:21
I did notice that too but it is just the way Bethesda has the animations set up on that actor (wolf). Kind of weird but dosen't affect performance at least. I might be able to change it if I were a 3D animator but I wouldn't know where to start.
ER404 2. mar. 2013 kl. 13:35
hey I think I noticed something when he runs towards you his eyes get kind big like he is surprised is that normal? kinda odd... but still good mod :D
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. 2013 kl. 4:08
@Canis - I have not tested that. Thats a god point. I would wager that yes, he will be dismissed but if that is the case he will just return to his place by Pelagia Farm.

@cHiCkEnOfCyAnIdE - It requires no DLC but works with all DLC.
Smol-Cat 28. feb. 2013 kl. 0:30
one question though, does he get dismissed when doing the deadric quest "a deadra's best friend?" due to barbos following you?
Smol-Cat 28. feb. 2013 kl. 0:28
ah found him, nvm. he was further away than i thought. seems like he works with all the dlc installed as well for anyone who was wondering. i think the author was saying that you dont need the dlc to have the mod but will work either way
Smol-Cat 28. feb. 2013 kl. 0:25
cant seem to find him :( will keep looking around though. do i have to talk to someone to get him to appear?
Flibble 27. feb. 2013 kl. 21:43
just a question, does "Requires No DLC" mean I can't have DLC's installed to use this mod, or that DLC's aren't required to use the mod?
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 27. feb. 2013 kl. 5:44
If that doesn't do the trick I have another idea that will add a constant magic effect with muffle or perhaps invisibility.
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 27. feb. 2013 kl. 5:03
Updated! Added perks Silence, Silent Roll, Light Foot, and Muffled Movement to make Opus even more sneaky.
[PGCA]nodijo 26. feb. 2013 kl. 9:33
I didn't think when I was sneaking that my animal followers sneak either but after reading here, I tried to pay more attention and yep they do, it's a bit different than my sneak-I can hear them pad behind me, but the Falmer last night did not so my Tiger was able to leap almost over me while i crouched and attack them, they also tend to hang back when I sneak and they do hunker their front down when we sneak....I have Opus too and the dogs and wolves in particular I noticed, tend to hang really close to us...and if I am wrong I will then stand corrected, without any dramatic scenes or perverbial name-calling etc. or ranting. :)
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 26. feb. 2013 kl. 8:37
I'll see what I can come up with. According to Bethesda all followers sneak when the player sneaks. :) http://www.creationkit.com/Follow_(Procedure)
Frostleik 26. feb. 2013 kl. 7:00
Tested some more and it seems to have improved Opus stealth capabilities a tad, however animals really dont go into stealth mode do they? - so perhaps the "silence"-perk will fix that all in all?
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. 2013 kl. 12:42
Updated to increse stealth to 100 and add the perk for Stealth at rank 5. Hopefully this will make Opus sneaky!
[PGCA]nodijo 25. feb. 2013 kl. 12:37
I like him he's awesome! Thank you!!
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. 2013 kl. 11:06
I'll check it out for sure. Thanks for the report!
Frostleik 25. feb. 2013 kl. 8:42
nopes, stealth does not work at all. I even boosted it to 200+ just to see (with the AFT mod and manual level-up) - probably because Opus is considered an animal or something in the CK? - however he makes a quite decent tank on master-level :)

Perhaps if you give Opus some stealth-perks if possible in the CK?
Frostleik 25. feb. 2013 kl. 6:22
aye, I'll give it a shot and se how Opus fares in sneaky-sneaky mode :)
Voodu  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. 2013 kl. 4:31
That is one thing I have not actually tested. His highest stat is Stealth but I'm not sure if he will follow the player's que and go into stealth when you do like humanoid followers. If you decide to try it out. Please let me know! Thanks :)
