skyrim is about a man that no one knows you can see that from the start of the game, so i was looking for a house that was out of the way of most things and low and behold i found this one, got everything i need, matches the idea of the game, not full of things u dont really need. had loads of houses over the past and thay just pissed me off with the clutter, this one is bang on 10/10,

As a non-ENB user, I'd almost say that the interior lighting (with the violets and golds) is from ELFX (Enhanced Lighting and FX). It really reminds me of that mod, even if it isn't, and it would get a similar "colourful" look (if your system can't support an ENB).

I'm going to give this little cottage a try. I've been searching for a suitable house mod for nearly a year now, and I hope this delivers. The Workshop is pretty limited when it comes to options.

ok, here is my official review (no im not a reviewer)
this mod is excellent, its stable you can store your crap without worrying about it being deleted
its lore friendly and doesent have any "gimmes"
the atmosphere is just superb, the basement is dark, dank, you can almost feel it, the main floor is small, a bit cramped, but so is the rest of the house, but plenty of moving room. has a very homey feeling.
the locationis also rather conviniant, atleast for me, as thats where i spend most of my time in game.
Smarls 10 May, 2014 @ 12:15pm
in this house is a Orc Woman. Why? It is part of the mod?
DaisyInTheMiX 15 Jan, 2014 @ 12:28pm

WoogyWoo 21 Dec, 2013 @ 4:11pm
I don't know if I'm the only one coming across the upstairs dresser next to the maniquin being backwards or not, aside from that this mod is amazing! Very lore friendly and what I've been searching for. Cheers!

This mod is incredible. The house is amazing and with another collection of mods it's mind blowing. Must have for the survival enthusiest. Also, I recomend hypothermia v1.4 with this :)

what a little beauty of a house , it is placed brilliantly as Im playing Frostfall,I was just about to die when I reached it. The big warm fire that greated me was more than welcome.
I love the desk area upstairs, you have designed the whole house so well, all 5 of my followers bumbled round without a problem.
A star of hom that will be in my load order again
Many thanks

What mods do you use to make your Skyrim so beutiful?
Sebat Hadah 11 Jun, 2013 @ 12:06am
i agree with mclinorama this is a good place to go when in the dawnstar area, i use it to bail out of awsometacular guard chases, funny story, i killed the vinnitoria, some stain for the dark brotherhood and hte damn guards chased me all the way here nd one spawned in the basement i was like "GET THE F*** OUTTA MY HOUSE". then i killed him and sprawled his striped self on the work bench and left him there to rot.....then i put my char to bed.... 5 stars good job with the house

Is it safe to store items in the chests?
mclinorama 12 Mar, 2013 @ 9:33pm
This is one of my most favorite houses! Lore friendly AND lovely.

♥Demetra♥ 5 Mar, 2013 @ 10:20pm
can you add a room for the child? if it not to much to ask b/c me and my bf have all the DLC for skyrim
secondsight  [author] 5 Mar, 2013 @ 2:33pm
@dolphinsong43: I´ll update the file soon with some other minor gripes I´ve found. Thanks for adding this to the list :) I´ll take care of it. But I have no idea about your door problem. I´ll check if I can reproduce it in anyway.
dolphinsong43 5 Mar, 2013 @ 11:07am
Cute little house. The bed doesn't give the well rested perk though. I also had a bit of trouble getting through the door from the bedroom. I had to close the door and reopen it to get out. The things in the basement are marked for stealing. Just some FYI's
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 11:25pm
thanks! but after I installed JasminENB, my game crashes :( when I turn back to the ENBGoddess, it works well... I have no idea, why doesn't my Skyrim "digest" this preset. maybe I need to reinstal the whole game, cuz I've already faced other bugs, like broken quests and disability to take a companion.
♥Demetra♥ 1 Mar, 2013 @ 6:37pm
so i see no one talk to me wan i ask a Q. ow qq
Asimov 1 Mar, 2013 @ 2:40pm
How did you get the chopping block working? When I added one, it only played half the animation, then would compeltely stop, and wouldn't add the firewood to the inventory. Yes, I copied all the scripts as well. How did you do it?
secondsight  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 10:48am
So, I´ve checked out the imaginator settings. Note, that your settings may differ depending on your computer screen capabilities (extended color space e.g.). And of cause of your taste :) I like my Skyrim colorful and with a lot of contrast. Some like it closly to black and white. But yeah, give it a try:

These are my current settings:

CONTRASTOR:
Brightness -10
contrast 17
saturation 35

TAINTOR:
add red, yellow, orange

CINEMAGIC:
Bloom low

Preset Color Schemes:
9. Nice Overall Enhancement

Curious if it works for you, Martell !
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 8:08am
okay. thank you :)
secondsight  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 8:07am
@Martell: It´s definitly possible to make it dark (via lightness / contrast). My nights are tending towards pitch black when cloudy. I´ll post my settings later that day then.
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 7:38am
ah, fck this, just give me your preferences, please. I'm ready to experiment :D
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 7:37am
I decided to sacrifice my fps for one of the features of the ENB Goddess Setup - it is extremely dark at night and in dungeons. JasminENB looks very light at nights and inside dungeons, so, anotheк question - is it possible to make it look darker via IMAGINATOR?
secondsight  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 3:37am
@Martell: It´s very easy with the IMAGINATOR mod. It´s spawns an NPC ingame that opens a comfortable menue in which you can tweak your colors etc. I haven´t fiddled a lot in the ENB inis. JasminENB worked fine from me (without a lot of performance lost), it just looked a little to desaturated by default in my taste. I could write down my IMAGINATOR settings if you are interested.
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 3:01am
thanks a lot. I'm currently using Goddess ENB Preset - it looks awesome, but it hits fps greatly. sad to hear that it is not a preset, cuz I'm not sure if I can make such a nice configuration by myself :)
secondsight  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 2:53am
@Martell: I´ve added information about my ENB in the desciption above, since a lot of poeple asked.
dockside 1 Mar, 2013 @ 2:06am
cool house
Heithwald 1 Mar, 2013 @ 1:31am
hello, nice mod, subscribed and liked it. btw, which one ENB setup do you use?
♥Demetra♥ 27 Feb, 2013 @ 9:00pm

Maharajah 27 Feb, 2013 @ 2:59pm
Nice place.. Liked it alot. Thanx
secondsight  [author] 27 Feb, 2013 @ 11:23am
@cyprian_pulkowski: key in barel ... ;)
@Ticklefeather: Glad you like your neigborhood ! I was asking myself if someone actually notices the hey in the ceiling :) But it doesn´t matter. You do not see all the details, but your brain does, right ?
I actually had to redo the lightning 3 times, because I wasn´t aware of the light limits per object. Learned the hard way. As for the exterior navmesh: I´ll fix it... if I can find some tutorials for it :/

@all: Check out Ticklefeather´s house mod "Bjargfellheim". It´s a little bit south from Frostflake Top and it makes a perfect addition, since it has a smelter and a trader.

wher is key
Ticklefeather 27 Feb, 2013 @ 8:24am
Just checked out this mod and I like it a lot. I enjoyed finding all the little details you've created, like the hay in the ceiling boards and the wintery wind blowing under the door. All lovely, but my favorite is your lighting. I struggle with lighting in my mods and you seem to have masted it on your first outing! Great job.

Now you just need to fix that exterior Navmesh and it's just about perfect.
Vehk 26 Feb, 2013 @ 11:05am
That's cool secondsight, I look forward to seeing both of them. Being the Skyrim bum that I am, I am hoping you do the tent first! If you have not yet checked out Other M's mods, I recommend you do, perhaps it will give you some inspiration! He makes a lot of no load zone shacks and other poor people house mods, which are really well done!
secondsight  [author] 26 Feb, 2013 @ 10:56am
@ItchyBurn: No I´ve learned what dirty edits are. And I will take care of it in my next house mod. I plan to do two more houses because of the same reasons I did the Frostflake Top.
I have already found the perfect spots and started shaping the terrain a little bit.
One would be a druid characters home, a large tent (so no loading zones) on a high cliff. Or a dark mage / witch house in the vulcanic east march. But I can´t decide with wich to start with :) Depends on the character I want to play next I guess...
kurosettopon 26 Feb, 2013 @ 6:10am
Ah, I see. I only need 1 large/double bed, so I guess it's fine. I never sleep anyway.
Vehk 26 Feb, 2013 @ 4:55am
Question, do you have any plans on making any new house mods? You seem to be quite good at it.
Vehk 26 Feb, 2013 @ 4:50am
Cool, I'll check out the house again. I checked the file for dirty edits, and it had 7 new dirty edits, which were fixed quickly and easily.
DGPistol 25 Feb, 2013 @ 8:12pm
it is need to haerthfire?
oatshmeal 25 Feb, 2013 @ 5:47pm
Well well well, I say another well done house mod by far one of the many Greater and well done mods in all.So thank you for the great mod and keep up on your great work! ^-^
secondsight  [author] 25 Feb, 2013 @ 2:32pm
I have updated the file. Now with snowy roof and a chest at the forge.
DeathClaw 25 Feb, 2013 @ 12:10pm
Saw this on Broduar on Youtube and thought I'd give it a try. I like it. Make more.
Schwarzkopf 25 Feb, 2013 @ 12:05pm
thanks ;)
Kinoko 25 Feb, 2013 @ 11:53am
where is the key?
secondsight  [author] 25 Feb, 2013 @ 11:18am
@Psychoborovice: No room for that :) But there is a smelter by the mine south of you.
Also, if you use the mod "Bjargfellheim" by Ticklefeather (http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=73062240) you have get a nice neigbor with a smelter and a trader.
Schwarzkopf 25 Feb, 2013 @ 10:50am
awesome mod ;) ...but I can´t find a smelter
