This must be what happens whenever I'm a Medic and i find a buddy to follow to the objective, and I randomly lose them in the dust. It happens a lot even though I take into account that the Medic is one of the fastest classes, and the range of the medigun, maybe they just want to touch base with me and I didn't check the feed.

I remember something like this when I played Quake Live and I really like the idea. However, just have it a little different looking... I wouldn't want to confuse it with mic chat.

This would be a cool unusual effect.

i always hated it when i get killed when i was typing, this may prove to be a nice implantaion into tf2 to make it easier to tell if a player was typing or not because it can be frustrating when you get killed while hidding to just type.

If this was a active TF2 thing, I would add a serverside script that babygods anyone type chatting or voice chatting. Then keeps god on for another second so they have a chance to fight again. (Spinup Minigun, Recloak, Charge Sniper, ETC.)

+1 support. We can't tell if somebody's typing or not and in my opinion, that's a missed opportunity in the game, not to mention slightly confusing. Valve, we NEED this! Add it, or I'll plunder your Sandvich stock. xD

The idea is pretty good however the bubble is already used for voicechat. On the other hand a team voicechat would be awesome as well!
