it is just gmod being inconsistant then.

these ones (non infected) will fly away when someone gets too close (target finder is on the head)

the infected ones will fly if you go above them

hold space to fly using the rideable ones

also sometimes gmod is just inconsistant

all the fire snails can not fly for me.
