You will have to ignore any weapon with a scope if you want to use this mod and get prepared to always lose against anybody else when it comes to who gets his aim on target first. Pretty much EVERY weapon sways to the left before getting on point and scopes become unusable. The sensitivity for scopes just dies and that to a different degree depending on the weapon. So you cant get all weapons to have a useable sensitivity with this "fix" cl_zoom_sensitivity_fov_scope (0 to 1), since everytime you adjust it for the weapon you want to use, the others will be affected too. And even then, this "fix" doesnt last. Dont know if its for the rest of the match or until you open DOI again, but you will have to constantly retype and readjust the weapons. Really a shame cause it makes everything look so much more alive. The Devs of the game should integrate and fix this.

Yeah, all the values in this mod are individually tested multiple times, to both look the way I wanted, and also to avoid having the viewmodel clipping through your camera. Because most weapons are moved quite a bit left, and up to its original position. Too much weapon fov (aka to make it look farther away), brings the open end of the buttstock and arms further ahead, and then basically either the buttstock or/and player shoulders could clip into your view. Which doesn't look sexy at all as you would imagine.

It uses the exact same file! Direct conflict with this mod. This mod already modifies fov as well, but different values.

I should only require one time sub, and works on all official servers (pvp and coop) and custom servers that dont use conflicting theater files. Are you perhaps subbed to any other theater mods? Like the "higher FOV" one? I noted about this in the description.

For additional scope sensitivity adjustments, try these in conosle, then adjust the slider in game for scoped sensivity to trim it.
cl_zoom_sensitivity_fov_scope (0 to 1)
cl_zoom_sensitivity_scope_uses_irons_scale (0 to 1)

Loved the mod, used it for a little while. Then one day I tried using a 4x scope on Kar98 and I noticed how slow the turn was. I couldn't tweak the sensitivity to be what it once was, so I'm sadly unsubbing for now. Perhaps one day I will come back to this beautiful, wonderous mod.

This mod looks and feels great it adds a lot of tension to the firefirghts for some reason and I love it. Is the sort of sideway jerking of the gun when aiming with the ironsight intentional tho ? Anyway great mod m8

@Dubo, haha I've hoped it was possible to put a rotational offset (gangsta shit), but x y z (L/R, up/down, forward/back) offset and and fov tweaks are the only options that I'm able to fiddle with for now.

Wait, wouldn't it make more sense to hold the gun at an angle if the magazine is nearly hitting the ground? It'd also keep the sights closer to the center of the screen, and block less of the screen.

On the other hand, that'd take a full animation overhaul, so perhaps it isn't worth it.

Yeah I agree scopes take a bit more getting used to than others, but once you get used to it, there is a clear advantage too, as to having wider peripheral view than vanilla.

What's wrong with 4x? Keep in mind the scope views in this mod are different by design. 4x are used in a different manner than 7x. Check this video for reference how to best use the 4x with this mod: https://youtu.be/fGQjBc3nfSM

[IMPORTANT] Guys the latest version now favors MP40 Reanimated Mod , because the vanilla animation is flawed at the fov level in this mod. Make sure you get that subbed for the best result.

Ok, I added back some focused (shift) ADS zoom for rifles and automatic/assault rifles; scope are reworked, now very consistent to their magnifications (even more correct than vanilla).

Try using 85 fov, don't go over 90 if you are not using like a 4k monitor.
