I thought about a square frame. But put time into figuring out how to keep the original style without impacting the art too much. So I went with that.

That's a fault with how the menu code is being told to render the icons. They added SRGB support for colors in certain spots that will render the prestiege border, but left everything else alone.

whats with the perk icon becoming completely white silhouettes in the perk selection screen?
it doesn't impact what happens most of the time but it does slightly bug me.

i was thinking about creating a version for the prestige icons when the beta finally comes out, something like a roman numeral in the corner as to not block out too much of the detail on the perkgirls themselves, but i didn't delve too deep into the way the game treats the prestige icons themselves.

seeing as how you have already experimented with it and come to the conclusion that the prestige is simply just resizing the original perk icons and adding a frame, that idea goes out the window.

instead of the hexagonal prestige frame (which obviously does not compliment the perkgirls icons as they are), maybe it is possible to make them into a square? at the very least it would be easier to implement than a clever workaround.

Here's a link to what the mod looks like with a colored frame. I didn't crop or add an invisible background. There's a slight issue with the main menu but I think that's fine. And yes, I replaced all the icons with the same picture just to test it.

I took a loot at how the perk icon system would work in the new preview update. And as I had expected, it's been updated.

Presteige Icons are simply a secondary background icon with color at Tier 2+. They affect the original icon size by reducing the image to fit inside the new Prestiege Icon.

While this is unfortunate, I can now safely say that I will TRY (i'm not an artist) to design something around this. Most likely something resembling a picture frame. But feel free to share ideas.

Now as for the mod update as a thing, most of you are aware that there's the black and white version, and a solid colored version. This was due to the previous Icon system having restrictions on shades of colors and requiring Alpha layers and other technical things.

We now have access to full RGB control.

This means the black and white version will be updated to have it's shades of gray.

Curious Cube has colored art, so that will replace the static colored version.

Probably not. At best, these will replace the prestiege icons, but as you may have noticed, they're not your normal icons. So you can't really add anything fancy per tier. There's another mod that takes normal looking icons and just adds wings to them. You can't really apply something like that here.

Hey, i love the mod, but are you going to do anything for the prestige class icons?

That one was rumored to be a "Martial Artist" class but I don't think that idea ever went into motion. We already have a berserker and unarmed combat doesn't really make sense. with KF2 gameplay.

If you have other mods installed, it should be somewhere under "...Weapons/Skins" or something like that.

Being a big fan of Dragon Ball series as a boy and still remembering/reminiscing about the thing while you're an adult male is one thing. Meanwhile, binge-watching different animes and making your whole Steam account plastered with anime background/avatar is a whole different one. First one is completely normal, second one is outright weird - most people would agree with me on that (except for weebs themselves of course, denial is a strong feeling).

The term "Weeb" has been so overused it doesn't apply to anyone anymore. Nowadays it's basically a catch-all phrase for anyone who even remotely likes anything even resembling something Japanese in origin, be it an art style or cultural thing, even if it's not actually Japanese.

I kind of think of it like a completely normal person who has watched a single episode of Star Trek immediately qualifying as being able to be called a "Nerd." Good job, now "Nerd" means nothing, because literally everyone qualifies as being a Nerd.

Well yeah, I always respect a fine piece of art, like these here drawings - very well made indeed. But I just cannot take weebs, as a sub-culture and as a lifestyle choice seriously, in any possible way.

If people wanna like this, let them, its drawn good.
