Jesus christ I had forgotten I made this. I'll update it when I can. Thanks @JOELwindows7. As for [WKB✿] 你的你 and dingus, I did, and now I'm working in the game industry.

Heads up, you should probably rename the map file something other than "Level1.umap" as it conflicts with other maps mods and makes it so you can only have one with that name.

Dear Swampertor,

I absolutely loved the design of your level, but there we're a little amount of details that i wanted to help you with,
these details aren't bad designs or fails in your level, but more like little suggestions to help you improve :D

1. Like you said, the enemies need more work, the birds dont aggro the player aswell as the mafia man is acting weird,
but it is a nice idea to combine mafia guys into time rifts.

2. The shadows under the platforms (on high gfx settings) are quite off, they bother me a lot, and i cant see
the mafia guy that well :(

3. Absolute great job, and i can't wait till your next level :D

Greetings from The Netherlands, /Daangast

Thanks for the support. Answering Chancyre.ini, I don´t doubt there are classes about that online, but im taking classes in my university here in Mexico. Ill get my hands more on the UDK documentation to solve the issues, after exams. But overall, thanks for the comments :yikes:

Is there any online classes for game creation and design? It sounds interesting. I love video games and turning a hobby into something you could make money off is everyones dream.

Overall: Some bugs to work out (such as the checkpoint and mad birds not functioning propertly, already mentioned before) but otherwise seems like a solid level for a time rift, albeit a little short. The issues mentioned before aren't uncommon for people's first levels however, so don't be discouraged!

I enjoyed this level! I was going to comment about how the checkpoints didn't seem to work, and the Mad Crows didn't really seem to care that Hat Kid was there, but I see you've already noticed those issues.
It was kinda cool how close the whales came to the level, and the bits of platforming were nice.
One thing I would recommend, is having some form of health pickup, just in case the player falls off a few times, or somehow runs into the crows.

Other than that, good level. Good luck in your studies!

Is not that the assignment was level modding, but rather a tool to see if the level had a challenge enough for the stated parameters. Yes, it wasnt only of AHiT, but with any game we wanted to take as reference. I decided to use AHiT because it had the modding tool and I could iterate the level and not just leave things in paper

But yeah, we could use whichever tool we wanted. I took this oportunity to also learn a new thing :hopeless:

why is level modding an assignment for a level design class? is your prof actually playing this game?

I mean sure if I'm the prof I'd take what I can and make the students learn from whatever. even if it's Mario Maker or AHiT

Im very sorry if the original information was not very responsive. It is my first time using the UDK and also my first time realising a work of mine in Steam, so I didn't know how much I needed to put in the description. :yikes:

Level Design 1 is a homework my Game design and Level design class. The challenge was to make a level with a difficulty of a 4th level out of 15 in which the player could use the basic mechanics of the game. Comments and suggestions are welcome
