Well done, I liked it. Although the author wrote about 30 kinds of houses, many of them are not interactive, and apparently this author will not improve them. Otherwise, nice landscape textures, elaborate environment on the mountains, and the presence of roads with stones.

@Abraxas You probably won't. Terrain making in Arma is a huge endeavor, and it would probably take many years to make a to-scale recreation of Santa Catalina. Combined with a general lack of assets for North American maps, I really doubt you'll be able to.

The map is not really well done compared to the real city, there are not enough houses and we cannot enter any house

Yup. There's alot of stuff that makes it feel just so unfinished. Two harbors is comically just one fucking building, Avalon is just plain boring and a grid, when IRL it's got way more too it, not to mention a larger marina. There's summer camps and marine isntitutes on the island with their own private lagoons/bays. The map as a whole also kind of doesn't match the terrain IRL. Most of the coast needs to be far steeper, And quite a few notable landmarks like Lionhead point just don't exist.

This map has great potential, but it seems unfinished to me. Very few buildings present, and the majority are not enterable. The terrain is largely devoid of interest.

I've thought about getting into Arma3 mapping for a while. If I ever do, this'll be first on my list for making a terrain - lots of potential for a more faithful rendition. The Casino, proper harbor and Avalon beachfront, botanical gardens, Two Harbors...

Maybe when it's safe to travel I could trek across the island and grab some reference photos since I'm in SoCal

@Jaydogg if you open the arma 3 editor there is a thing called a grass cutter, this will remove foliage within its area :D

the map works fine but i havea problem, some of the textures have errors when loading and the grass is coming through the car park area by mc donalds so it looks very bad in that area, is there anyway to stop the grass coming through the paths and concrete?
