Suggestion: make a mod that:

puts the humanoids (and humans) in other categories
ex: humanoid portrait 1 = mammal
ex: humanoid portrait 5 = molluscoid
ex: humanoid portrait 2 = mammal

is there a way to make a mov to remove all portraits that are NOT human? I want to play only as humans in a human-only galaxy.

So, I've been trying to get rid of humanoids. And even with this mod, they still spawn.

Can you make mod similar to this that would still keep actual humans?

Thanks a ton! Now I can use this for my Apocalypse playthrough.

@Myssiv
Yeah good point. I have separated removing humanoid portraits from removing terrestrial portraits. Little point in bundling those two together.

Can you make this mod but only disable the humanoid portrait category? That's the only category that bothers me.

Yeah I tried that as well. Though I no longer recieve any error reports in the error log that would indicate their is something wrong with the mod, I still get a CTD upon new game start. Starts up fine with any other mods activated, however, so I know it has to be my mod that's causing the issue. And yours works fine if I activate it instead as well, so I don't think it or mine conflicts with anything. Really frustrating lol.

I also deleted the keys of the unwanted portrait in '01_base_species_classes'. IIRC changing the non_randomized_portrait list wasn't enough. So in your case just delete all items in the list for each species in the 01 file. That should do the trick.:steamhappy:

So I've been trying to do quite the opposite of what this mod does, but keep getting a CTD at new game start. Basically I'm trying to eliminate all non-humanoid type portraits from generation (but still leaving around 50). Thing is, I can't figure out how you did it here. My problem seems to stem from pre-sapient portraits, I think? I understand that to remove a portrait I need to add it under the "non_randomized_portraits = {" tab in 00_species_classes, but what else needs to be done in that file and the 01_base_species_classes file? Pleas help a brotha out.
