I have a question. I don't know if this is normal or because of the Left 4 Bots 2 mod, but the AI survivors keep spam-changing their melee weapons when idle or sometimes even during small moments of a pause between hordes, and they also seem to switch between about every melee weapon in whatever map I'm playing. I wanna assume its Left 4 Bots and not this mod making them do this.

One day, we will get a version that adds a visual melee slot for the HUD

i bind "c" for slot7 so i can more quickly switch to melee.however bot hardly use melee

This mod tends to bug out the bots and making them stuck on picking a melee weapon over and over again, but now that i unsubbed to this the mod is still on effect, how can i disable it?

oh no i wanna carry this axe on my back and my pistol on my hip but i just can't use the holster that is on my hip and i can't just grab a bandolier or make a bandolier whatever will i do... i'll download a mod

It works if you put the auto exec config command... hmm its great but Only thing Is I wish the UI of the melee also appears beside the pistol. it's kind of weird to not see the melee symbol

The most NECESSARY mod EVER. I don't know the f*** why they designed the game the way it is tbh. Thanks for fixing up one of the very few letdowns in L4D2

The script for it to be easier at use, since my fingers are way too short (damn you t-rex arms btw) requires to be typed into the console ev´ry time I start the game, don´t know why, probably I messed up something but I´m way too lazy for doing that ev´ry time I start the game.

There's one minor conflict I need to mention in this mod: if you use a replacement melee weapon that has an assigned flashlight origin point like Alex_D's PD2 flashlight replacer for the nightstick, or any of tomaz's One-Handed Melee With Flashlight mods, the beam effect of the light will default to the center of your screen and bob right in front of your vision when you move, like this:

Apparently moving the melee to slot 7 like this mod does borks the flashlight mechanics.

for some reason the mod dosent work now for me
it just does the same as if i didnt have the mod

Only issue is that when you're using a chainsaw and you run out of fuel, it drops your pistol and the chainsaw vanishes

I'm gonna gave this an 'inteligent' award. This is something that I always disliked about L4D2's inventory, that you can't have both pistol and melee weapons at the same time. And this addon deserves a much better recognition for that.

I can't find the default autoexec.cfg to paste this in, only autoexec.360.cfg

I'll ask a stupid question, which you probably already answer, I apologize in advance for this - but is it possible to add a 6th slot to the HUD that will display the melee weapon that you have taken?

You can use this mod simply with the press 6. open the console or autoexec.cfg. and type or paste bind 6 slot7. and go to in-game and press 6 switch your melee weapons very simply.

This mod may be the best thing in the Workshop. I'm not kidding. Single player is so much more fun with it.

Rebind your 2 key in settings and make sure what you wrote in autoexec.cfg (if you wrote anything) is cleared.
