You could try going into options,and increasing the Rain Fall by sliding the slider to the right mate.I drive through thunder storms all the time.Infact I'm getting webbed feet.Happy Trails...CJ

After trying it, I can safely say that it makes the game look so much better. Seriously, well done on this. The brightness was all I needed to change (turning it up a tiny bit) but other than that, it's worked flawlessly, and hasn't bugged out or anything weird like that.
Strongly recommended for anyone who can't get graphics mods due to FPS loss, or harddrive space restrictions.
