@ataxneuro Is the mod broken ? I explained in the comments how to edit the ships by yourself if it doesn't work anymore. Unfortunately I won't update this mod anymore

I have raised the "HP" designation X=10 and the "space" designation X=5 and have started a game. So far it's looking pretty good.

@Groogo no, there is a "hull strength "value or "hitpoints", don't remember the name as I've not messed with MOO for a few years, that I multiplied by ten (10 times more hp), it should be in the same section as the space values for each ship

I went thru the shiphulltype.yaml file and tripled all of the space values. The same for the Unofficial Patch pirate ships (3 of them). The ship values in-game look interesting. Is the "space" value the only parameter that requires change?

@Ince. I found the proper hulltype.yaml file in a different folder and it listed the hull space for each ship. The other hulltype yaml file was a long narrow unbroken column from top to bottom with different information.

I have been having difficulties getting all of the 5X MODs installed and adjusting the load order but I finally got that all working just this morning. Now I can try and adjust the hullspace.yaml file based off of your "150" space for the scout ship. Having your Stronger Ships working within the 5X system would make an excellent game setup in my opinion. I really enjoyed the game I played with your MOD before I started messing with the 5X stuff.

@Groogo Did you manage to make the changes by yourself? It seems strange that a ship doesn't have any hull space, maybe it doesn't have any ingame either ?

I found the correct file. It was in a different folder. One of the ship hull type files had no information on hull space. The other ship hull type does have the hull space number listed.

@Groogo If there is no "ship hulls types.yaml" in the 5X mods folders, I don't think I'll ever be able to make it compatible as it would mean that the creator(s) of 5X used another way of defining their ships, maybe another yaml file (that would be great and easy to edit with a simple text editor like notepad) but with a different name.

@Groogo I don't have the time to update it right now or these months but I might try, in the future, to find a way to convert my mod to something that would work with every mods changing ships or adding them like 5X, not just sure if it's possible with the modding limitations.

This MOD is real nice, it would sure be nice if it worked with 5X. The numbered folders in the MOO workshop folder has a different numerical designation then 1248665652. I was unable to find the file where the hull for the 5X addon ship models were located.

So the standard ships show up in the game with the additional improvements from this MOD but the new hull-types that 5X adds are still using the unmodified numbers which make them way to weak to use.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great MOD and I really like it but if it is used with the 5X MOD you just have to ignore the new ship types that the 5X MOD adds to the game.

You can tweak my mod by editing with notepad++ or something similar the "ship hulls types.yaml" file in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\298050\1248665652 (to tweak the space, just change the "space" value. The first ship is the scout ship and it has 150 space with my mod)

I realy like your mod. One of my favouits. The 10 times more HP is great but I think that 5 times more space is too mutch. Is it possible to generate a mod with HP increas only or at last reduce the additional space to 2 times? Would be great.

Shields are enabled with this mod (I didn't change shields value nor weapon shield penetration values or I may have given the shield a X5 value, I don't remember xD), are you using another mod that might cause that ?
It has also been a long time since I updated the mod and a game update may have broken my mod but it's the first time this kind of "bug" is reported to me.

Are shields disabled with this mod? I'm seeing all weapon types melt HP without any shield damage, both myself and enemys.

I've nerver played with 5X but from the little I've seen of this mod, it doesn't add new ship class so maybe my mod can work with it if mine override 5X ship's config file.

Id like to say after just a few hours of playing, this mod makes the game much more interesting. I have yet to try it against antarians but..im sure it will be a challenge ^^
