Such a good mod, hopefully it gets a 1.5 patch.

any plans to update?

Please do not remove vanilla chemfuel recipes in the future. It would certainly force me to stop using this mod.

I was looking at the numbers in thedescription for the mod, you likely had already updated it and hadn't changed the description yet. (Right now, it's impossible to balence chemfuel due to how little the generator uses. Also, a single deep chemfuel deposit can give you thousands of chemfuel. Chemfuel generator is OPAF.)

did i upload the last rebalance...?
Each shale wall should gives you 25,
30 shale get turn into 20 oil
20 oil return 25 chemfuel
so... its about 16 chemfuel per mined lump.
(which might be even too low)

I will re-upload this, if its my mistake
Techmago  [author] 21 Jan, 2018 @ 5:14am
Yes, i am still trying to find the fine tune for the numbers...
Thanks for the tip :)

Could you reduce the effieciency of turning shale into chemfuel? Currently, mining one tile of shale equates to 100 chemfuel, which is enough to keep one generator running for almost half of an in-game year. (25 days to be exact.)

Update:
- rebalance numbers
- add bulk production option

Huge update!

Love the ideas you have, but could you make "1. remove chemfuel for other sources" optional? I have another source of chemfuel which I love using, and would love to use yours as well, but not really willing to give up the other mod as it adds other things as well.

Fracking! I love it!
Techmago  [author] 30 Dec, 2017 @ 5:49pm
Not a bad ideia, i will consider it

mine shale rock get barrels of sweet crude as resource.

shale > sweet crude > refined crude > chemfuel

refined crude > plastic

plastic > synthread
Techmago  [author] 30 Dec, 2017 @ 5:19am
I am thinking on taking a turn in this mod:
1. remove chemfuel for other sources
2. tweak the chemfuel ammount for shale (for it to work)
3. shele -> raw oil -> chemfuel
3. raw oil + cloth = Synththread (not wanting to overcomplex this)
4 shale (maybe raw oil instead?) always present on traders

@Techmago, thanks for the details.

Interesting mod! I like your plans for it. I don't think it needs to be overly complicated or complex tho. There are mods out there for that sort of thing already. =)
Sentient_Worm 29 Dec, 2017 @ 11:18am
Soon:
- Synthread from chemfuel.

Just a small nitpick again Synththread is a fabric which I would think would need extra steps of prossessing such as chemfuel > raw plastic > plasteel > Threads > Synththread
I could be wrong on the order since I dont know much about how refining fabric from fuel would work IRL but plastic threads mixed with cloth and devilstrand would be a good recipe for synthread in my opinion
Techmago  [author] 29 Dec, 2017 @ 10:31am
Each shale rock can be mined for 40 shale, and 18 shale gives you 35 chemfuel in the vanilla refinery.
~ Description updated. ~
The Rabid Otter 28 Dec, 2017 @ 11:15pm
How much chemfuel does one block of shale produce? Which workbench do we use to refine shale into chemfuel?
Sentient_Worm 28 Dec, 2017 @ 6:30pm
lol well I'm kinda a relic of the past so not suprised
Techmago  [author] 28 Dec, 2017 @ 6:29pm
I had to google up "nitpick" to see what it meant.... first time i ever saw this word XD
Sentient_Worm 28 Dec, 2017 @ 6:25pm
I just have a habit of nitpicking
Techmago  [author] 28 Dec, 2017 @ 6:24pm
fair enough
Sentient_Worm 28 Dec, 2017 @ 6:21pm
Small nitpick. rick = rich
Techmago  [author] 28 Dec, 2017 @ 4:08pm
And now, for some reason, this exists.
