I've created a new mod called Let It Shine - Warm changing the bright white LED like Magelight and Candlelight spells to more cozy and warm torchlight color.

You can find it here and over at Skyrim Nexus.

I'm playing around with this one to get a warmer color. I set it so that it casts shadows too, but that seems to crash the game too easily. I agree though, the bright blue is harsh. If I can get it to look more natrual I'll post an optional file.

I've been trying to team this mod up with a mod that makes the candlelight yellowish / torch-colored. Unfortunately, that mod overdoes the color (everything is oversaturated in orange HDR). Also, since they both tweak the same spell only the last in the load order takes precedence. Ideally, both candlelight and magelight would last longer, shine brighter (greater radius), and not be so harsh-white on the eyes. There's mods that change those three things, but not all of them at once. There's a 5,10, 20 min mod that changes the duration + color, but lacks the radius (what's the point of the spell if it just lights your hand in front of your face... you're still stumbling in darkness... which is why I prefer this mod ... it lights up a fair distance.)

Do you have another color in mind? Maybe a toned down white? More of a warm color?

Just what I needed. Follower carrying torch is no longer enough while using RNRC. It just underlines how woefully insufficient the candlelight and magelight spells are at lighting things up (aside from the god-awful LED white color).

I can look into it.

can you make all light sources shine brighter? like campfire etc. because the Flames in Towns aren't very bright. this would be great.

I sleep with a night light, I'm that afraid of the dark.

The night is dark and full of terrors.

I use a performance enb, the nights here are are very very dark, so the normal version of the Magelight is totaly useless. Thanks for making this Mod!

Ya, they should be compatible as long as they use the same spell effect, which I'm sure they do. I use a persistant magic mod as well that allows them to stay active until I despell them and they work beautifully together.
