@Gyndogan Hey thanks for the response! No worries, with some help from the great RDAV (praise be to his name) I managed to get it docking with perfect alignment anyway haha. Hope SE comes calling on you again, you did great work!

@chuck hm long time since i played and even longer that i programmed this, but it pretty much just does the original script in a different order. works best with the hangar stationary and generally i had the feeling it was more accurate if they didnt try to rotate in the hangar, but i have to leave it to you to try

How precise is the docking orientation? My issue with RFC is mainly that the orientation is "loosy goosy", and up to 45 degrees off center. This makes any automated maintenance tasks extremely difficult.

thx :)

The gravity drive is great also!

Ok, good luck with whatever you are doing!

Needs an update

@remethep yes both addon and dependent on as im no experienced programmer and just changed the original script a bit to allow for smaller hangars, i fear i cant help you with your problem until i have more experience, alltho i plan to make a configurable ship based AI, but that'll probably take very long :/

Is this an addon to, and dependent on, the Fleet Command Script?
Because, I would really like a script that does what this might do. Get ships to dock automatically, to a designated grid. Preferably using an argument in a programmable block.

@Rdav, yes I thought drone based wouldnt work to well, but what about a different carrier class that maybe sends "I'm tight" to drone to make it dock backwards? dunno still learning ^^'

I like what you've done with this!
Although regarding something capable of both you'd be hard pressed to make decision logic on the drones AI because it would require some pretty computationally expensive logic to determine the relation between connector location and the LCD without immediately knowing the docking route, not that it's not possible mind but the intergration might make some things messy :P
