can you add support for different groups? Example:
If admin: "THE ADMIN %PLAYERNAME% JOINED :D"
if user: "The normal user %playername% joined :/"

Give the user the ability to add as many groups as he want and change the text, sound and colors for each one.

Hmm, maybe I could try and make it soon although I have a project I'm going to work on in the meantime so it may take a while.

How many addons have you previously created? It might be a good idea to turn these chat messages into on-screen visual notifications that maybe drop down from the top, just a suggestion ;)
