to balance it, it should not provide any other bonuses, and the acquired territory should be lost if the wall is pillaged

If you build the wall to enclose an area that contains *all* your cities save for cases involving water and mountains, then it could trigger a culture bomb towards the inside of the wall only. That would be cool.

本来还想用试试用长城来阻断整个大陆，或者吃地把别人城市吃到只剩一块，结果发现文化炸弹只能吃3环以内的地.....

Actually LostMyWay theres a lot of evidence that China had influence beyond the great wall, maybe not quiet direct as depected in the game but the wall functioned as somewhat of a watchtower system so just one square beyond the wall actually seems like not too bad a trade off.

Not sure why your boarder would expand past a wall, that's the whole point of a wall. Seems like it would be way OP in game too. Shame becuase seems like a nice idea but it extending past the wall seems way too much.

no one would like to live more norh whatever there was a wall or not.to hold people in，they should have built more walls in the southern part ，than there wouldnt be so many chinese in southeast asia today ;)

The wall had help Chinese lived properly in the area near the wall, It was more a life insurence thing, which benefit people expanded their settlement.

the great wall was build to hold the millions of chinese people inside ;)

Wasn't the idea behind the wall that the protection of Chinese lands ended at said wall?
