Yes he does big damage when set up right but at the cost of the whole team, in pitch black you gotta tank hits which will build up stress further enhanced in darkness. Taking hits that already build up high stress in the dark will be increased even more by the occasional affliction flaming lines. In the end if you really want him to be the MVP you will have to tank lots of stress for the whole team non stop while still slotting a healer. You're right about the power thing for free, but to me the major issue would probably be that 2 default affliction interraction were he increases stress further when an ally hit or get hit (occasionally). There is already lots of stress management needed with pitch black and the stress team wide interraction that occasionally happen with afflicted units. That's just my opinion though, don't think too much about it, in any case thanks a lot for the answer and good luck with what's next !
1. Custom affliction / virtue chances are hardcoded. This is flexible if you're using default ones from the game, but for custom resolve states, it's not possible.
2. Animations are primitive. I agree. There's someone amazing in the community who'd love to remake the Abysswalker animations with me (See SirFartzalot's incredible work with Dragonslayer), but he and I both have infants & full time jobs. That's a WIP with a full overhaul design behind it, but each ability would have dual animations & purpose depending on stance.
3. This majorly sounds like a learn to play issue. What makes you think you should you get a ton of power for free? Especially with a virtue state? There are so many ways to reduce stress taken, and it can mitigate much of the risk. But risk is central to getting his power maximized. This guy one-shots, or nearly one-shots, enemies with the right set-up.
2. 高压力下伤害爆炸,独特的折磨状态提供大量属性加成,不过也存在烦人的负面行动几率。
3. 美术已经是用心还原狼骑士风采了,可惜还是感觉有点违和,或许是我心里的A大形象太完美了吧。
The soul item i got from the start of every raid, do i need to consume it to have that stacking effect? or I can achieve that by normally reach to 100?
Nice.
"When afflicted, Abysswalkers gain 10 percent damage per 10 stress at and above 100."
I think this line is precise enough. You can also hover your mouse over the minimum & maximum damage range when highlighting an enemy with an ability in order to check damage modifications iirc.
Possibly some news soon on a 5.0 update.
It's 120 stress per 1 round. Anything outside of that one DoT tick is unrelated to the item.
It's intended to trigger the resolve state. If you trigger it from a stateless character, your stress gets capped at 100 due to the transition. The 120 is just to account for -% stress items/buffs you may have.
If you're using it from within the resolve state, God help you because Gwyn won't.
The second time I used it I made sure to keep track of my stress and what my damage reported as before and after. I gained just around 160~ stress and even after I got hit with the heart attack and the debuff was removed I still got hit with something like 50~ stress damage. It likely was much more but it maxed out hard again.
As it is it's literally a suicide pill.
also i apologize if i dropped this comment on a different one of your mods, im really tired and i think i forgot to sub to a few comment sections i asked on
In terms of a compatibility patch for Abysswalker and Lord's Blade, once it's finished, I'll check into it.
Now, it's a cleave on the back row.
For synergy, the mark was moved to the riposte. That's a poison + mark for synergy with Lord's Blade.
Stance character, first of my Dark Souls classes reviews. Quality class, the art is sublime, good frontliner, decent dance mechanics. Has unique affliction and items that make him interesting and a low light buff. The hovering between 100-200 stress is a neat mechanic and feels rewarding enough. His dmg is good, durability is questionable. Overall, fun class, quality art balanced to slighty strong, but I think mostly balanced. 4/5 *B Tier*
All I did was replace the original text with my own, but ran into an error. In description of two skills half of text is missing and / or not displayed completely.
How can this be fixed?
