for me both buildings stop at modifier +3 not 4 any idea why ?

Apparently the sound bug is caused by mods doing the old fashion way when this game didnt have a workshop page,,,

Great mod, however I noticed because the prefix to the table name is missing the "_" (BMbuilding_effects_junction) there are compatibility issues with mods that edit the same table. A quick fix is to rename the table to BM_building_effects_junction.

sound bug fix? is it the sound bug of arrows sounding like cannons, and smoking like them too? or is it something else...

another thing if someone can please direct me to a place that does fix the arrow cannon sounds that would be fantastic, thank you!

i've already done that. i just wabted to see if there was a way to have the jiu jitsu dojo give points to the melee defense too, and what code is needed. do you know how i would find that?

@Eastonthomson1 - hmmm not really done anything like that all the tweaks I made were pretty simple additions or subtractions. I suppose you could just add a line on the Jiu Jitsu Dojo using your prefered modding tools and make it exactly like the blacksmith?

Hey man i love what you did with the mod. im used to modding RTW2 and im not very good at modding this game yet. I am trying to do what you did to the Jiu jitsu dojo, if i wanted to add points to melee defense what code would i put in?

Armour is already overpowered!!! I already get full armour on my troops because it is soo much more effective than more melee damage, because it works on ranged attacks AND melee, and it is so much harder to get than melee damage. This is why it gave less armour! Put these on oda ashigaru and we have a problem, because no normal unit can take them. And they cost, what, 43 maintainance? The iko ikki can still be broken but not the oda. Put it back to 3, at least for the ashigaru please. I want a bit of a challenge.

Anyways late rate, some may see this as cheating but if you're playing on VH/VH this can even the ods out sicne the AI' units get 7 attack and morale. This mod at least levels the playing field and makes it so you're untis don't get wrecked so easily head on.

Hey Cap. It might just be the campaign I started two days ago, but it appears that the smith is still limited to +3 armor. I'll see if I can start another this week, but it sure takes some time to get everything upgraded in game.

Right guys found out from a friend that there seems to be problems with online play for some reason. No idea what it could be but i'll do a couple of tests hopefully in the next few days. @Rulfish - As far as I know it should do yes, other than Otomo units which are unaffected through no fault of mine.

@Police3750 - Using the Creative Assembly tools (which you can download using the Tools tab in your library) then i downloaded MMS 1.3 which makes handling all the mods ALOT easier plus it tidies them up. Basically its a spreadsheet editor...

@Padapwns - Was it a new game. I.E did you both have the mod downloaded and updated before you started the game? because if you did then I have no idea whats wrong...

@Cpt-British - You said before that you were looking for the Generals skill tree/How many skill points they get per level. I think I found it. Look for the "character_experience_skill_tiers" table in Tweak. I don't think you can edit how much experience they get for their actions, but you can lower the amount of experience needed to get to the next level, as well as change how many skill points they get at each level. This table is for generals, ninjas, monks, etc. Hope this helps.

I'm just curious if you know how to go about editing the new units from the Otomo DLC. I sometimes like to see how long it takes to conquer everything when units cost next to nothing, but I cannot find the new Otomo units. Is their something new to download or has CA not gotten around to updating the tools?

@Divid & Skycrawler501 both true points and the encampments is something i'd already noticed due to my testing +4 Melee Damage & +4 Armour does seem OP. Then again the Blacksmiths are only in certain provinces. I tend to play with few unit producing provinces and all the rest are dedicated to Eco.

I made this mod as for a request but personally I like it when I get to play. I might tweak it down so a weaponsmith would only provide +1 armour at all levels.

While I have yet to try your mod, and it looks fun to try out, it does seem to go a bit overboard. Combine the blacksmiths with the encampment upgrades and you already have a very strong powerhouse of upgrades to choose from even without your mod in play. Your blacksmith mod skips the step of making encampments and developing those to provide +2 armor/attack or +5 charge/accuracy and +/- 10 replenishment rate/reduction cost. Also, if you think about it, whichever path you decide for your (vanilla) blacksmith to take, that's what he is specializing in, armor or weapons. The key word is specializing. The blacksmith will only have to worry about making either weapons or armor and not both. Why do you think blacksmiths in the beginning can provide +1 melee/armor for samurai units only until they start to specialize?

true enough, however, its rather breaking from a gameplay point of view, A lot of games have to suspend with historical acuracy or logical outcomes for the sake of gaming ballence. Making the smiths worse (or at least not more usefull) by removing the old +1 was a fault, because your improving the building, not making it worse, on the flipside, increasing the bonusses further simply makes it to powerfull in comparison to how commen a building it is, and how many units it starts to affect in the later tiers

@Divid - Fair enough thats your decision, I was thinking of the improvement of tools and the such not just skill.

A Master Armoursmith is going to have access to better materials and tools than a Average Weaponsmith, thus if he put his mind to it would no doubt be able to at least make "Decent" weapons.
