Nice scenario. Keeps you on your toes with throttle and brake. Also appreciate the historical information about the Pioneer.

Thanks Plasmaboy! Sherman Hill is a lonely route to run on in general :/

Yeah this scenario was supposed to be a bit challenging & dont worry, I misjudge the time it takes to slow down all the time :D, and thanks for checking out my other scenarios. Don't worry, the Empire Builder scenario is not timetabled, but it is similar to this one in the way you learn history along the way. Marias Pass is a great route, and I highly reccomend it! No doubt I will be making more scenarios for it in the future.

Yeah. I made it to Borie with about a minute to spare. I only had a couple of minor speeding infractions...misjudged how long it would take me slow down to a couple of the speed limit reductions. But, mostly I stayed within a 1/2 mph of it all the time. Those timetable scenarios are always challenging. I'll be trying some more of your scenarios in the near future. I see you put one up for the Empire Builder on Mariass Pass. As soon as I can get that route I will be getting that one. Trying to wait for the next sale.

That last #25 Pioneer that I rode had one F40PH, one baggage car and 5 Superliners. (two coaches, a diner and two sleepers) Westbound would crossover from track 1 to track 2 at Granite. By the way, I live near Cheyenne, so everything from the Pioneer, to the #3985 Challenger, Sherman Hill etc., are things that I have grown up watching, photographing and experiencing first hand. Keep up the good work and I hope you make a part 2.

Thank you for playing the scenario! In 1997 the Pioneer was different than it was in 93. It went from looking like a commuter with 4-6 Surfliners to looking like the Zephyr with about 10 cars and baggage. I never rode the Pioneer so I had to do alot of research to get everything right. I'll possibly make a part 2, using the 1997 Pioneer.

Thanks for the scenario. It brings back memories from my trips on the Pioneer. In fact, I rode the #25 Pioneer from Borie to Laramie in April of 1997. Only a few weeks later, it was part of history. By the way, at Hermosa, we would take track 3 into Laramie.
