I had the stuck cube problem and I could not bump into it, I just passed through. I turned on cheats, went and got the green cube, placed it on top of the pink cube, interrupting the laser, and then could grab the pink cube to destroy it. The green cube floated. I then respawned the green cube and finished the game.

I took the second cube in that way: https://youtu.be/lawZdclY2eI

thanks jgaultney i think i have everything set pretty high and so far no stuttering or lagging. thanks so much joric i love this game . its basically the only one i play.every now and then i check out another but i always come back to this one. i still find things in maps that i struggle with but hopefully im improving on a consistent basis.

@jandlml: If your new gaming computer has a middle to high-end video card then, for Portal,
you should be able to go into Portal's video->advanced settings and set everything to max.
If yo do, I would recommend you then test a map or two in order to see if you get any
stutter or lag from the high settings and if you do then dial some of them back. Dial back the AA
only as a last resort.
@joric: I'm flattered and while I don't really agree with your high opinion of my game-play,
I will defend your right to express that opinion. o.0

Could you please add links to the maps you're mentioning?
jandlml 3 Mar, 2019 @ 6:05pm
me too Joric , thank you for the thought. you are a pretty good player yourself. with how long ive been stuck trying to finish the map called "Range" makes me feel like a noob
Nobody No-One 3 Mar, 2019 @ 5:44pm
I'm honored to be one of the top 3 players according to Joric
Not sure that's necessarily true, but thanks
jandlml 3 Mar, 2019 @ 4:17pm
i dont think so. i would put me more of top 20 MAYBE . but yes im a she.
Joric 3 Mar, 2019 @ 4:05pm
Oh god, you're she? You're like top 3 players here, including NNO and jgaultney. Holy shit.
jandlml 3 Mar, 2019 @ 3:54pm
its better now. i was just asking what are the best settings for playing the game. ive been playing this game for a long time , my husband got me a gaming computer for christmas and i want to use it for all its worth. so if i can get betting quality i want to try for it
Joric 3 Mar, 2019 @ 3:04pm
@jandlml chill man! The only setting you need to see through gratings is to set antialiasing to 4x.
jandlml 3 Mar, 2019 @ 2:56pm
what settings?
jandlml 3 Mar, 2019 @ 2:55pm
thanks i think its better. what does everyone think the best way to play this game. hat settings?

My playthrough, 4 minutes: https://youtu.be/wSyVeuzM26Y
Joric 2 Mar, 2019 @ 7:21pm
@jandlml antialiasing helps to see through grating. I play without antialiasing and it bugs me too.
Joric 2 Mar, 2019 @ 7:16pm
Yep, I'm officially stupid. respawns, people! Feels more like 8/10 though.
jgaultney 2 Mar, 2019 @ 5:10pm
@jandlml: about game settings, look at this screenshot
jandlml 2 Mar, 2019 @ 5:06pm
most excellent!! i only needed one small hint in this one. i remember that little jump across to the door from a map that polux just made. im glad i remembered it ! faved
jandlml 2 Mar, 2019 @ 4:40pm
does anyone know if there is a certain setting i can put my game on so i can see through the grating. its really hard playing when all i see is the black of the grate

Nice puzzle.
•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ•  [author] 2 Dec, 2017 @ 4:23am
@Polux That's actually the intended way, which I've forced with the last update I hope. The last part was a bit finicky indeed, so I redid that. It was just to force 2 cubes at the exit without the ususal 2-buttons-near-the-exit.
•‹†ρđ› ĐūšР2ķ•  [author] 2 Dec, 2017 @ 4:20am
@toncica I've made some changes. Thanks for playing.

Excellent puzzle!

Very nice puzzle, again. I think I was bit a slow, it felt quite intimidating at the start.

It's a good puzzle, well done!
However, I think the laser part is a bit useless. That cube/laser bug is really weird.

@jgaultney @Polux Thanks for playing. I've made some changes to the map.
jgaultney 1 Dec, 2017 @ 12:01pm
A very enjoyable, challenging puzzle! Thumbs up and favorited.
My solution was the same as Polux's except I used the angled panel at the end .
