You can access the mod files here [www.dropbox.com]. Some of them are quite old and incompatible with the current version of the game (will overwrite some unit abilities etc.), but might still be fixable.

Hey AppliedPsionics, do you still have the mod files?
I'd love to play the mod, but with some minor addition (capture points give 5 manpower, but only 2 fuel).
Since you offered it to someone else i hope this request is ok.

i used to bomb the enemy base with stuka dive bombing and rail way artilery back in 2014 and the bombing run ability used to destoy medium and light tanks with one hit. love this mod but if you can some how fix this that would make me very happy. your mod has been able to make me enjoy this game like i used too.

I don't think I touched AI. But since mods overwrite base game files, if this problem exists in older versions of the game (which, I hope it's not also in the current version of base game), it could be carried over. Nah, whatever the reason is, this happening is too arcane.

Your mod has a weird bug in skirmish mode my axis AI allie when build pak88 it fires at my mg nest buildings that i biuld.i try it 5 times and the 5 times happen the same.

@Zaid There is. But that would be quite a historian job and a lot of dealing with a suboptimal modding tool like we have now. I don't have time for it. I could fix some problems this mod has with the current game version at best (even that might not happen). Maybe some other modding folks are doing things similar to you wanted.

I've not played this mod yet but, having looked through the changelog, you appear to have done a lot of the things my mod already does simply by virtue of the fact I've updated it based on mod files from ~2016, so I 'missed' a lot of these awful balance and design changes.

I too am a fan of the older faction designs and asymmetrical balance, rather than forcing every faction to feel the same and have access to the same core units.

So, though I've not tried this I just wanted to say well done and good on you for not giving up and accepting some of the shit they've done to ruin the vanilla game.

Thanks and cheers. It just seems that they completely forgot the modding tool already, no updates for a long time. I found the mods more and more difficult to maintain and there are problems I can't fix with the tool. I guess people are moving on, but I'm happy so long as you guys used the mod to feel a little bit o' something of the game at its peak.

Thank you for the catch, quite an unique case, should be vanilla and pretty much beyond this mod can do. I don't know if you can do anything to bot AI with current modding tool.
Sadly I don't see signs that relic would update the tool to what modders have been asking for, either. Well maybe after releasing AOE4, who knows.

Bug: AI players with profile "CPU - Standard" in game mode "Annihilation" cannot do (at least) the following tasks while any unit on their team attacks the opponents' base:
- build units
- reinforce squads
- take territory
The fewer humans in the game, the more likely this means that neither team can win.

... It would seem that the AI enters a special mode (which happens to be broken) when the opposing base is under attack. Removing that mode might be the simplest solution - if it did fine enough to get there, changing plans is not conductive.

(This is a vanilla bug. Alas, "minimal official support".)

From competitive game aspect I do think with 20% damage reduction KV-1 has a special role in the arsenal and earns a place in T4. As for Sherman, it has always been awkward in timing, either too early or too late, and has no notable trait, no patch fixed that. Thought overpriced, T3 as a light armor tier still seems too early for it, and I hesitate on making a MT callin unit. I may have to think about it. With flawed design and minimal official support the game is awkward as it is.

I'd think it depends on the unit. Soviet "Lend Lease Tactics" Sherman in T4 seems to be useless, for example. "Guard Rifle Combined Arms Tactics" KV-1 is in T4 even though in the "Theater of War" tech trees it is consistently at T3, and it costs more than the far-too-similarly-effective T-34 too.
... Both tanks might have a better place in T3.

KV-8 and T-34/85 on the other hand do not have obvious replacements in the regular tech tree and thus may arrive as late as balance dictates.

Thanks, it is fixed, doctrinal tanks can now be built in tier 4 building. I'm not personally against the idea tying tanks to tech buildings, perhaps that's one of the few things that worth it in recent patches.

What if find Historically inacurate is that the Whermacht Ostheer have MG42's when they actually had MG34's & that the Oberkomando West [Shultzstecker SS] had the MG42's as they were an Elite Fanatical Panzer Army whose 1st Panzer Division protected Hitler & defended the Riechstag.

if that is the case will osteer be like i originally talked about with okw. see as far as im concerned taking and holding tactical points like amm/fuel is the objective of the game, and locking down these points makes it even harder for opposing forces to take. and mg nests are a very good way of doing that. just my opinion thats all. OKW cache is less likely to be added in the mod, sorry. You see, I'm not into making armies a reskin of each other like the balance team, and OKW is designed for offensive and has powerful support structures thus making caches and emplacements less relevant. Besides, you do have a nice commander that does this. More units would be fun I agree, tho it more or less depends on relic's support.

i do think that your pioneers in okw ned to be able to lock down fuel/amo and initialy build anti air or mg nests from the go. god mod though cheers. maybe some diferent troops as wel be nice

It could be added as a german command ability but I don't plan to mess around with commanders any time soon due to the tool limitation. But that might be added at some point.
