Probably not as I'd need to set the volume each frame which is not ideal.

Using the Perceptive mod will cause Earplugs to stop working after opening the map. Can you override the priority of the Perceptive mod?

@LegalEagality: I have fixed the issue and the mod now only gets disabled if ace_hearing_enableCombatDeafness is enabled.

You should probably add a disclaimer in your description that this is not compatible with ACE. We installed this in place of the ACE earplugs to have combat deafness turned off, only to find that it detects ACE and prevents you. It should probably see if "Combat Deafness" is turned off which disables the ACE earplugs instead of ACE as a whole.

Accidentally found out that when using this mod, most notifications that pop up in missions, such as when a task is created/completed, only show up for 1 second instead of the normal 3 seconds before disappearing. From what I can tell, the mod's CfgNotifications >> Default class is overwriting the default duration for all notifications. If you're able to, could you fix this by renaming the class? Thanks!

I'm starting to simply use ACE volume, though, with TPW's Compress alternatively when I want to hear everything but the bangs.

just tested it and confirmed this works in DRO. you should add that to the description since a lot of people use the DRO stuff. someone else already asked before and the competitor mod doesnt work in it so that's a huge bonus for you

Could you add a setting where it can accommodate when the player dies? Currently it seems like you have to toggle the keybind when you respawn to get it to work again.

well I just ran it with ace and jsrs after repairing the mod, and it worked perfectly, so I'm really not sure what's going on. Maybe it was just a fluke of some sort?

Maybe it's jsrs but most likely ace if it's like you say.

Thanks for your feedback. I used the notification system of Arma 3 on purpose, but you can disable them all together.

Although I wish your notifications popped up on the bottom right side instead of in the middle of the screen. But I really like this mod it works with everything.

If you ever get to update this, another (optional) hotkey could be for the volume. I adjust mine quite a bit depending if I'm in a vehicle or just near a loud gun etc.

Picked this for the hotkey option. If I could ban the action scroll wheel menu I would, so the less in it the better! :)

However, I personally prefer the Earplug mod from ELi. If anyone prefers this one here, it's okay, just want to say that you maybe want to enhance your mod, too. Especially since Hotkeys are, well , I don't really like them that much because arma already has enough to offer, lol. That's just something personal though.
