The lightning bolt is a fixed visual effect (heaven lore's lightning bolt) that did not sync with the actual projectile which caused sound and impact timing issues. Perhaps there is a better way to make a lightning projectile these days and feel free to use the texture or anything else if you wish.

Awww thats to bad its such a cool unit. Im just learning how to mod so if I get good enough maybe ill make a version for personal use. If you dont mind me asking, I am curious what was imperfect about the projectile?

No. It looked really cool but the projectile was imperfect and I do not wish to maintain it.

Unfortunatly the mod manager will not let me update some of my mods but this one should still work without updating.

There, I updated the mod and made a few changes, giving it back fatigue immunity and blinding, being the meaningful changes. Though if it didn't work with SFO before, it won't now either. If anyone want to make it a standalone unit instead of a blessed unit then they have my permission as long as proper credit is given.

Perhaps this is because it is not a separate branch of the armed forces, but a substitute branch of the armed forces. The replacement of each original branch of the armed forces in the sfo will lead to incompatibility. It is suggested that the author make this unit a separate branch that can be recruited. In this way, it will not conflict with the SFO, but a new unit.

It has not been updated for a year so I am not sure it works at all currently but I could fix it today or tomorrow. As for SFO compatibility which many people ask for in mods... I just don't know what makes a mod SFO compatible or not to begin with so I can't do much about that.

I shall take a look in the game and see if I can think of a suitable way to recruit them more reliably.

Could you possibly add a means to recruit this unit or make a quest to unlock it early in the campaign? Maybe make it tied to a landmark building or those plaque buildings in the Vortex campaign. Its a shame you can pass an entire campaign and never recruit them due to RNG. I have been given Blessed Krox 3 times now, almost in a row.

Did you use any mods that could potentially interfere with this one? Strangely, when I test it in custom battle the only issue is that for some reason it DOES NOT change name...

well either way its fun as hell to use. id still like to check compatibility with the varied dinos mod, to see if it can use the swapped color pallets. haven't tried yet. you set up 2-4 of these beasts together behind a line of saurus or temple guards and you got yourself an army that can obliterate anything in its path haha so fun to use.

Thanks, the ligntning's timing is the major issue with this mod. Depending on the distance, the lightning strike and sound do not perfectly match up. Unfortunatly one can only try to ignore the flaw as the strike itself is not very flexible to mod which also forced me to shorten the projectile distance as well.

turns out that after much experimentation and stuff. this mod does work with that mod. it just does not change the name., still calls it "solar engine" but icon is blue and dino is lightning. only issue is that lightning visual is a second behind the rest of the animation not sure if there is a way to change that, or if it is a problem without the recruiting mod

This is a great mod thanks, by any chance do you think you would be able to make a mod with a Giant Bastiladon or a Bastiladon Mount for legendary lords?

Thanks. I have many ideas I would like to try before making more bastiladons though and their missiles are a bit limited by the 2 different crystal glows. Mightyknife's fire breathing Carnosaur is still an interesting idea to me though...

This mod merely changes the already existing "Blessed Bastiladon(Solar Engine)" so it should definitly be usable, though not super easy to obtain, in the campaign.
