Ah okay. Thanks for that info, that will help to know! I haven't used the styles system in a long time, but one reason for not using it is that I remember it being kind of wonky. Sounds like it's still wonky. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

It seems it's not only your style. Somebody told me she has the same issue with another style.
Djoul 13 Mar, 2023 @ 12:50pm
Hello MrMiyagi and thanks for the quick answer. But the fact is I tried to change multiple times and it seems if I select a district style that comes before the chalet one in the drop down, it seems to work, but if I take another after your district style, it includes chalets. It's quiet strange.
MrMiyagi  [author] 12 Mar, 2023 @ 3:05pm
Hi Djoul, nope this doesn't take any priority over other styles. Here's the only thing I can think of. Double check on the district panel that you've clicked the drop down and selected the other style (i.e. not Chalet). It might be defaulting to chalet since that is the last one you had selected.

Since I used this style for one of my maps, when I create a new district anywhere else, on the same city or another, chalets are build even if the district is under another style. Does this style take, for some buildings, priority on other district styles ?

Cool! Glad it's something you'll have fun with!

This is perfect for my European builds! Excellent style!

@razzlanator because different people make mods that require other people's mods in order to function, ffs. That's how this who workshop thing is constructed. :steammocking:
razzlanator 7 Aug, 2020 @ 4:53am
Why do some mods have their own depencies? like mod A need B and C but B and C need A to work... ff just pack everything in one mod
MrMiyagi  [author] 31 Jul, 2020 @ 4:22am
Hi, nope, you can use any map theme on any map / in any city. You can also change from one theme to another! It's really handy because you have a lot of freedom to choose from all different creators' map themes :)

For example, I put Avanya's European Suburbia houses onto my tropical island with lush green mountaintops and tropical blue water. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

Another question is, does the architectural style require a specific map theme?
codikey 20 Jul, 2020 @ 7:55pm
:steamhappy:thank you
MrMiyagi  [author] 20 Jul, 2020 @ 2:35pm
Hi @codikey, these are only for low density residential (suburban and rural houses). You can combine this set with a nice commercial set that fits with the style. Check out Titan's Renaissance and Baroque buildings, Feindbild's series of Central European buildings, and Lost Gecko's French and Belgian buildings. They'd fit nicely.

May I ask if the business district will also change and remain the same
MrMiyagi  [author] 3 Oct, 2018 @ 9:40am
Because it contains an entire set of custom buildings. This file only consists of instructions for the game to use those 100 houses (which are not mods btw) to grow in your city. Note the file size on the top right^.

srriously mate, to get this mod i have to get like 100 more mods for it to work...
MrMiyagi  [author] 2 Feb, 2018 @ 4:42pm
I think I know what you mean. There is some kooky stuff that goes on with the default building styles system. For my own games, I use the modded equivalent: Boformer's Building Themes by District mod. It has been updated to work with the new Green Cities update we all got.
As far as this default system (the item for this page) goes, I think I ran into what you're describing. You might have to manually add them back in via content manager... and having done that once already in order to create this item, I feel for you :D The mod is so much easier. Wish I knew more :steamsad:

Only Chalet 1A (2x2) L1 is not missing both in your district style and mine.

Hi! I want to use this lovely district style for my European settlement, but after I've added and enable everything the new houses don't appear, and when I expand the district style every building is missing except but one. I even tried to create my own district style and manually assign the new chalet houses to it in the asset tab, but when I expand my district style afterwords everything is missing as well. Could this be due to green cities update or smth?
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Jan, 2018 @ 11:39pm
Sure! Subscribe to the new pack of chalets and this district style ^^. Check to see this district style is activated on Content Manager. Load your save, set this new district style as the one to use for any districts that you currently have the original chalets assigned. Now just play your city for a while but do *not* zone any new low density residential. The smoking chalets will upgrade into the new chalets very easily (they just need to reach level 2).
Take a scan to check that all the smoking ones have upgraded. Bulldoze any you don't have the patience to wait for. Save your game, quit CIties, and *now* safely unsubscribe to the original chalet houses and style. Tadah! You have avoided erros without having to use a mod :D

Thanks, yeah I could probably use the help haha
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Jan, 2018 @ 2:51am
Sounds like you've got the original pack, which had the smoke spawns. So you can verify, that was this pack here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=700318461

The new (smoke free) pack, levels 1-5, does not have smoke spawns, smoke is not able to be used in the asset editor any more. This is the new pack: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=1182157494

If you need some help in removing the old and replacing with the new, I'll give you the step by step so you can swap them out without causing any errors. :)

Are the chimneys supposed to be belching out smoke? It doesn't seem that way in your screenshots but my LDR areas practically look like industrial zones.
