It depends on the map size, and the speed of your computer. Usually for me making them learn a map like gm_construct, it would take about 2 hours (I built my PC in 2006 with used parts, it's very slow). So I'd guess about 3ins for a map like gm_construct for you. While their learning, the game looks like it freezes, but don't worry it's still going. Hope this helps. ;)

Oh it's because it hasn't been taught those maps yet. To teach it a map, open the console `, and enable cheats (sv_cheats 1), and then type in 'nav_generate'
